Not long ago, I found myself back in Cairo, attending, and having the honor of capturing, a beautiful and intimate wedding for someone I proudly call my little sister.
What makes this even more special is how it all began. Two years ago, I met this family completely by chance in a restaurant in Cairo. I was wearing a keffiyeh and because of that we started talking, and from that unexpected encounter grew something I could never have imagined: a family.
Since then, they have welcomed me into their lives with so much love, and through them I have gained four sisters who mean the world to me. Sisters not by blood, but by connection, trust, and countless shared moments.
To stand there and witness one of my little sisters celebrate such a beautiful chapter of her life was an incredible blessing. Watching her surrounded by love, happiness, and family filled my heart with so much gratitude.
Life has a beautiful way of bringing people together when you least expect it. What started as a random meeting became a bond I will cherish forever.
I am endlessly grateful for these four amazing sisters, for the love they have given me, and for allowing me to be part of their lives. Some of the greatest gifts in life are the family we find along the way❤️

A couple of days ago I got to capture one of the most beautiful, intimate weddings in Lyngen.
We spent the day at and the weather was doing its usual Northern Norway thing… changing constantly, snow coming and going, light shifting every few minutes.
Right before the ceremony, it was actually snowing. And then, almost like it was meant to be, it cleared just in time.
The ceremony took place down by the ocean, with these incredible mountains in the background.
Afterwards, the whole day unfolded so gently — good food, laughter, dancing, cake, and a beautiful sunset.
So grateful for this work, the people I get to meet, and the moments I get to capture along the way❤️

A little teaser film from a beautiful Lofoten elopement ✨
There are moments photos can’t hold.
The movement. The energy.
That’s why I’ve started offering film.
Not instead of photos.
But alongside them.
So you can remember your day…
as something alive.

When you elope in Norway,
you’re not just booking a photographer.
You’re creating a full experience—
in a place that might feel completely unknown.
Most of my couples come from abroad.
And they don’t just need photos.
They need someone who knows the land,
who understands the weather,
who can guide them through it all.
I help you with everything—
locations, timeline, planning, logistics…
But also something more important:
I help you create a day that feels like you.
A day that’s calm.
Intentional.
Free from pressure.
So when it finally arrives…
you’re not thinking about where to stand
or what to do.
You’re just there.
In it. Together.
And that’s where the real moments happen 🤍

When you choose to elope in Norway, you kind of have to agree to one thing from the start: the weather is in charge 😅
This autumn elopement in Aurland was one of those days where plans changed fast. A big storm was on its way, and when we tried to reach the original ceremony location… that didn’t happen. At one point, it honestly felt like we might get blown off the mountain.
But this is exactly why I always come with backup plans. And honestly? The place we ended up at felt even more beautiful. One of those moments where you realise that sometimes things work out better than you ever planned.
The storm waited until the next day, and then roads were closed etc (see last slide) but this day stayed calm, beautiful, and full of joy.
I’m so grateful for couples who trust the process, laugh when plans change, and meet the day with open hearts. And I still can’t quite believe I get to do this work, in places like this, with people like this 🤍

She thought we were just going out for some photos.
He had something else planned 🤍
Last year I got to witness the sweetest surprise proposal in Lofoten. She had no idea and when he went down on one knee, her reaction was pure magic. Shock, laughter, happy tears… one of those moments you can feel just by looking at it.
I truly love surprise proposals like this. They’re so real. All the emotions come rushing in at once, and nothing is staged or forced. I’ll admit, the minutes before are always a little nerve-wracking, trying to act casual, wondering if she’ll sense anything, but when it all comes together, it’s so, so worth it.
Moments like this, in a place as wild and beautiful as Lofoten, are such a reminder of why I love what I do. Being trusted with something this meaningful is something I never take for granted 🤍

I’ve visited the Hardanger Fjords many times on my own, just wandering and falling in love with it a little more each time. But this summer was the first time I got to photograph an elopement here and it felt so special.
This place is truly breathtaking. The fjords, the mountains, it all comes together in such a quiet, powerful way. You don’t have to choose between dramatic or soft here. You get everything.
Watching a couple choose this landscape for such an intimate day made me hope even more that others will find their way here too. If you’ve been dreaming about an elopement surrounded by nature, space, and beauty, Hardanger might just be the place.
I feel incredibly grateful to do this work. To witness love in places like this, and to tell stories in landscapes that stay with you forever❤️🏔️
