Photography is still my passion.

However, I only have bare minimum time to do it due to lack of time and energy between teaching ballet and managing a dance school
Dans en balletschool MGDance (together with my husband).

Luckily I have one time in a year moment when I usually make a photoshoot for our dance school.

Thank you to my team (and dear husband) & the dancers (and their parents) for the wonderful day.

Patricia van Deutekom - dancer, choreographer and artistic leader of LAVA Collective - is nominated for the Swan for most impressive dance achievement 2023 for her part in La Despedida.

The jury about Patricia:
“The jury was struck to the heart by the power of Patricia van Deutekom in LAVA Collective’s La Despedida, about the turning points in a human life. While her fellow dancers compete as in the time of her deceased partner, choreographer Jens van Daele, Van Deutekom runs.
She is outside the action and running in place. Everything continues, even though everything is different. When she steps onto the dance floor, visibly exhausted, she still incorporates the familiar throwing, pushing, falling and dragging into her dance language, but adds new accents and nuances. Looking at the moving body with new eyes, Van Deutekom throws herself back into the dance field.”

The Swans will be awarded during the Gala of the Nederlandse Dansdagen, this Friday, September 29 at 8 p.m. Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
We are looking forward to this special event, shared with all the other great nominees!
