Color (or the absence of color) is an essential ingredient in photography. And color will often make or break a photo. Color can be used to lead the viewer's eye and draw attention to certain parts of an image, and color can influence emotions. Interior decorators, graphic artists, and art buyers for magazines and ad agencies put great emphasis on color. So, of course, I do too. If you are a movie fan you already know this. Watch almost any movie and you will see many scenes in a movie are color treated. Those tinted frames are intended to elicit a response or mood.
From time-to-time I will share a photo of mine and reveal the color palette in that image in its rawest form. Like you see here. The six character codes you see on each color swatch are called hex color codes. These codes tell a computer what color to display on your screen. Most computerized devices can display more than 16 million different colors today. You can also take a hex color code and convert it to the formula used at a hardware store to make a paint color that matches that same color exactly.
Hopefully you will enjoy this new look into my world of my photography. If you have any questions, just let me know!
