“𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐢𝐧!”

Normandy, 1944.

Heinz was exhausted. The war was going badly. The coffee was terrible.

Then Heinz took a 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻 tablet.

Ten minutes later he was ready to retake Paris, reorganize the entire Western Front, and argue military strategy with a cow.

No worries. An historical reconstruction by ImageworX WW2. Heinz is okay.

On June 6, 1944, a small but valiant unit of 450 US Navy commandos — the 2nd Naval Beach Battalion — landed on Utah Beach as part of Operation Overlord. Their courage and dedication were instrumental in securing the beachhead and ensuring the success of the Normandy landings.

As the 82nd anniversary of Operation Overlord approaches, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination that changed the course of history.
On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in the largest amphibious invasion the world had ever seen. Their bravery helped liberate Europe and secure freedom for generations to come.
Never forget. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦🇫🇷

Arrived on Sunday, and in the meantime I’ve captured a few impressions of the beaches near where I’m staying—before the crowds arrive and everything is flooded with people. It’s a chance to enjoy the peace and quiet and gradually get into the rhythm of the days ahead.

I’ve got some great projects planned, but I’ve also made sure to leave time to appreciate the landscape and catch up with old acquaintances and friends.

Stay tuned—we’re just getting started… 🇫🇷📸✨
