If we had to pick one black & white film to shoot all day, Kentmere 400 would be high on our list. 🎞️

We think Kentmere 400 is one of those rolls you can take anywhere and simply enjoy. Its ISO 400 speed gives you plenty of flexibility, while the classic grain and balanced contrast give your images that unmistakable black & white character.

For us, it’s a great choice for street photography, travel and portraits, especially when the light isn’t perfect. It’s forgiving, affordable, and has enough personality to make even ordinary scenes interesting.
If you’re just getting into black & white film, or you simply want a reliable roll that lets you experiment without worrying about every frame, we think Kentmere 400 is hard to beat.

Fun fact: Rollei RPX 400 and AGFA APX 400 are often considered very closely related to Kentmere 400, making them interesting alternatives if you enjoy this particular type of black & white film.

Looking for a film with a true cinematic character? 🎞️ Kodak Vision3 500T AHU is based on Kodak’s legendary motion picture film stock, bringing the look of the big screen to your still photography. The AHU version has had its remjet layer professionally removed, making it ready for standard C-41 processing—so you can enjoy the unique Vision3 look without needing ECN-2 development.

One of the great things about Vision3 500T AHU is its low-light performance and flexibility. It can be shot beautifully at around ISO 500, and also pushed to ISO 800 or even 1000 when you need extra sensitivity in darker scenes. It’s a tungsten-balanced film (3200K), which means it produces natural colors under artificial indoor lighting. In daylight, you’ll notice a cool blue cast unless you use an 85B warming filter—something many photographers actually embrace for its distinctive cinematic mood. If you don’t use a warming filter, we can also remove the blue cast during scanning.

Compared to consumer films like Kodak Gold or ColorPlus, Vision3 500T AHU offers softer contrast, smoother tonal transitions, fine grain, and excellent highlight retention even in challenging lighting. The colors are more subtle and filmic rather than bright and punchy, making it an excellent choice for night photography, street scenes, portraits, and moody travel shots. ✨ If you’re after a film that truly shines in low light and delivers a true movie-like atmosphere, Kodak Vision3 500T AHU is one to try.

If you’ve ever wondered why photographers keep coming back to Kodak Portra 400, the answer is simple: it’s one of those films that rarely disappoints. 📸 Whether you’re photographing people, traveling, or simply capturing everyday moments, Portra 400 produces soft, natural colors with beautiful skin tones and fine grain. It’s also incredibly forgiving, so even if your exposure isn’t perfect, there’s a good chance your photos will still look amazing.

If you’re looking for a film that lets your memories shine without overpowering them, Kodak Portra 400 is definitely worth trying. ✨ Stop by the shop to pick up a roll, and we’ll happily help you get the most out of it.

This is the film behind that true cinematic black & white look 🎞️

It actually started as a motion picture film, designed for cinema—so that timeless, contrasty look, that’s straight from the movies.
What makes it even more interesting: a lot of “new” films you see, like CineStill BwXX or Optik Oldschool DBL-X, are actually based on this same Kodak Double-X stock. They take the original cinema film and rework it for still photography.

We recommend this Double-X film for street photography and portraits, especially when you want that raw, cinematic feel with beautiful grain and deep shadows. It’s one of those films with real history behind it—and you can see it in every frame.

Did you know that the black and white scènes in these movies were al shot on this amazing film. Like; Schindler’s List (1993), Stranger Than Paradise (1984), Memento (2000), Kafka (1991), Casino Royale (2006), I’m Not There (2007), Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and also Oppenheimer (2023).

Kodak Portra 160 is one of the smoothest and most natural-looking films out there 🤍🎞️

I always reach for it when I want soft colors, clean detail, and beautiful skin tones without anything feeling too saturated. The look is subtle, timeless, and incredibly refined—which is why so many portrait and fashion photographers love it.
What makes Portra 160 special is how well it handles light. It keeps detail in both bright highlights and deep shadows, giving photos a really calm and balanced feel.
Perfect for outdoor portraits, fashion shoots, weddings, and sunny day photography where you want that elegant, classic film look.

This film is available in 135 and 120 film.

If you just want a film that always delivers… this is it 🌞🎞️

Kodak Ultramax 400 is one of those rolls I keep in my camera when I don’t want to overthink things. It’s super versatile—great in daylight, but also strong enough for cloudy days or casual indoor shots with flash.
What I love about Ultramax is the warm tones and punchy colors. It gives that classic, slightly nostalgic film look without trying too hard.

Perfect for travel, everyday moments, and just documenting life as it happens.
If you’re starting out or just want something reliable and fun, this one never disappoints.

Ilford FP4 Plus is one of those black & white films that never goes out of style 🖤📷

I love shooting FP4 when I want clean detail, soft grain, and that classic monochrome look that feels timeless in every frame. It has a really forgiving exposure range too, which makes it such a relaxing film to shoot—especially when the light keeps changing.
What makes this film special is the balance: sharp without feeling harsh, contrasty without losing detail. It’s perfect for portraits, landscapes, architecture, and slow, thoughtful photography where tones and texture really matter.
If you enjoy traditional black & white photography with a smooth, elegant look, FP4 Plus is always a solid choice.

Santa Color 100 is one of those films that keeps surprising us every time it comes back from the lab 🎞️
Originally based on Kodak AeroColor aerial film, it has a look that feels different from most color negatives out there. Expect fine grain, beautiful sharpness, rich contrast, punchy reds, deep greens, and warm tones that make everyday scenes feel a little more cinematic. The colors are vibrant without becoming overly saturated, which gives the film a really unique character.
We especially love recommending it for sunny days, road trips, street photography, cars, travel, and outdoor portraits. With its ISO 100 speed and wide exposure latitude, it performs best in good light and rewards you with incredibly detailed negatives and beautiful color separation.
It’s one of those films that stands out without trying too hard—and every roll seems to have its own personality 📸

One of the things we love about film photography is the community behind it. This film is developed by our friends in Seoul —a fantastic lab with a welcoming team, great service, and some of the fastest turnaround times we’ve experienced. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. 📷✨
