Ternesse Golf & Country Club : A Picture-Perfect Course

I had the advantage to play this course last week. ⛳ A course you must play.

What a sight! These photos of Ternesse Golf & Country Club truly capture the essence of a perfectly maintained and challenging golf course. The way the light falls creates an almost magical glow over the grass, highlighting the course's immaculate condition.

Ternesse is indeed one of those courses that brings a smile to every golfer's face. It's a challenging parkland course. Its mature trees give the course a seasoned and distinctive appearance. They not only form a beautiful backdrop but also add a strategic element to the game, making the course even more demanding. The variety of water features and strategically placed bunkers make the golf course a true test—that's the power of a well-designed course.

After an exhilarating round, the clubhouse beckons! That's when the golfing experience becomes complete. The thought of a delicious meal and discussing the round in such a welcoming setting makes Ternesse a complete experience. ⛳

Good times, golf, and enjoyment—what more do you want?

Weekend trips to Spain are always a good idea, especially with great weather (30 degrees, clear blue skies, and a lovely breeze) and good company, Edwin Boogaards.

It's always a challenge to get up early on a weekend like this to take a few nice photos, because the urge is always there. That one glass of beer from the night before, well, maybe not so convenient. The advantage of Spain is that the sun rises a good hour later than here in the Netherlands. Phew, that helps.

Enjoy the beautiful images, and is highly recommended for wonderful golf, delicious food (in the village next door), and simply enjoying yourself. Golf, good times, and enjoyment—that's what it is.

Golf Course in Focus: Golfsociëteit De Lage Vuursche

There are golf courses—and then there are golf courses. Golfsociëteit De Lage Vuursche is a true experience, both on the course and in hospitality. It's located on beautiful grounds in Den Dolder, right next to the Lage Vuursche forest. Designed by Kyle Phillips, one of the top golf course architects, this course is truly a masterpiece.

No two holes are the same. There’s a great mix of short and long holes, tricky doglegs, and challenging par 3s. But what really stands out are the bunkers—cleverly placed and staring you down from the tee boxes. It’s a stunning place to play and to photograph.

From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome. The staff greet you warmly and do everything they can to make your day enjoyable. The clubhouse serves excellent food and drinks and offers a beautiful view of the 18th hole—where plenty of drama can unfold. Hitting your approach shot to the 18th green while the terrace is full of spectators definitely adds pressure.

The driving range is excellent, with indoor and outdoor areas, as well as grass tees. Balls are neatly stacked in pyramids, ready to go. Everything is very well maintained.

If I had to pick a favorite hole, it would be the par-4 13th. The approach shot through the trees makes it truly special. But honestly, every hole is beautiful.

This is a course you really have to experience for yourself. ⛳

Dutch Ladies Open Week Goyer Golf & Country Club

De Goyer, as the course is commonly called, is truly a beautiful course with a great variety of holes, doglegs, water features, bunkers, and waste areas. Wonderfully maintained—especially now during the Dutch Ladies Open week.

This week, the ladies of the Ladies European Tour are settling in here.

Fortunately, the Dutch Ladies Open has returned to the Netherlands in recent years. It's important for women's golf and Dutch talent. Want to see top-level golf? Come and watch the Dutch Ladies Open from Friday through Sunday. Enjoy not only the beautiful golf, but also the course in top condition.

The course is located between the A27 and the A1 and has everything needed for a great competition.

This coming week, I’ll be photographing the greenkeepers early in the morning and capturing the course as well. Photos to follow.
