My name is Yessica, I’m a photographer based in The Netherlands, specialized in Food photography.

I’ve been working in the hospitality industry since 2016 as a Food Photographer and Food Stylist.

Today I stepped away from my usual world of food and product photography and spent the day in Amsterdam at the Canon Creator Lab.

A huge thank you to Canon for the invitation and to Kristina for such an inspiring workshop. It was refreshing to explore a different style of photography, meet fellow photographers, exchange ideas, and see creativity from a different perspective.

Thank you, Kristina, for sharing some of your techniques and creative tricks with us. It feels good to keep learning, challenge yourself, and discover new ways of seeing through the lens.

I’m sharing a few of the images I created today during the workshop. Sometimes the best thing you can do for your creativity is step outside your routine and simply create.

This tropical sunset buttercream cake was something I made for a friend… 🌺✨

And honestly, moments like this make me realize how much life has changed over the years.

Back then, I used to bake in my tiny kitchen just as a creative outlet.
Now being able to create in my studio kitchen is so much more comfortable, more inspiring, and honestly such a luxury compared to those years.

And on top of that… having the chance to properly style and photograph everything right there in my own studio? That’s probably my favorite part. 🥹

Funny how hobbies become useful skills over time especially when you’re a foodie, photographer and food stylist all at once.

We eat.
But first, we click.

Lately I haven’t really had the chance to create personal work, so today felt special.

Just slowing down, playing with light, textures, crumbs and jam, photographing food in the most honest way possible.

This loaf was made from leftover croissant and viennoiserie scraps by Olga. Even though it was made from scraps, it’s truly a masterpiece.

These photos are raw, real, imperfect and ridiculously good.

I’m thankful for little moments like this.

Straight from the gym into shooting, filming, creating… all at once back-to-back shoot days and still testing the prolens

i’m already one of the best food & product photographers, now i’m on my way to becoming one of the best videographers too.

2016. The year it all started. ✨

These photos are from the very beginning of my journey in food photography.

Back then, I had no idea this would become my path, my profession, and the work that would completely change my life.

In 2018, I took the leap and became independent.
And since 2023, I’ve been running my own studio.
It’s been an incredible ride so far — full of growth, unforgettable experiences, and working with brands I truly admire.

I’m deeply grateful for every opportunity and every lesson along the way.

Somewhere in between, I was working at Takeaway.com / Thuisbezorgd in the marketing department as a Visual Designer — thinking my future was still in graphic design, web and branding.
But that role opened the door to food photography and food styling.
For almost two years, I was given the chance to learn, experiment, make mistakes and grow, and to further educate myself through trainings and schools like Le Cordon Bleu and Leiths.

That year, I traveled for work to Poland, Germany, Belgium and Austria, photographed food almost every day,and discovered a passion I never knew I had.

Ten years later, I’m still here.
Grateful, proud, and thankful for a journey that continues to surprise me in the best possible ways. 🤍

I always shoot tethered — it keeps my workflow efficient and my focus sharp.

Oh my god… so pretty! 🤭✨ Celebrating double anniversaries the sweetest way.

✨ Yesterday was a double anniversary! ✨
Not only did our Cinnabon Den Haag store turn 1 year 🎉, but it’s also been a year since Hello Click Studio started creating their visuals and content for social. 💙

To celebrate, I wanted to spoil the amazing girls at the store with something truly unique they’d never tried before… so I called my dear friend and beloved client Olga from 27° Patisserie for a seasonal intervention. 🍂
She crafted these gorgeous autumn cruffins filled with fig, and the dreamiest cream & jam center. 🥐❤️(and yes, you’ll hear my “oh my god so pretty” voice in the unboxing 🤭 because honestly… they ARE that pretty).

Perfection in every bite, with a touch of raw and real indulgence, exactly how I love it.
