This was my first big metal show and it was so much fun!! Also a lot of chaos. Not only on stage, but also in ‘the pit’ with all the security, video crew and photographers. Behind us were crowdsurfers and moshpits. And you have to capture this all in (a little bit less) then 3 songs. Total chaos, but good chaos.
I took a bit of ‘a risk’ not using my 70-200mm lens. I wanted to try to stay close to the action. It didn’t entirely work out as I planned (as these things often go), but all things considered i am decently happy with the outcome.
Unfortunately I am still not at the level I want to be at but I keep grinding!!
