A NEW YEAR. A FAMILIAR FACE. MAYBE YOU REMEMBER ME… OR MAYBE WE HAVEN’T MET YET

There was a time when I proudly said:
“I do all kinds of photography.”

People nodded.
People smiled.
People got confused.
And sometimes… they quietly walked away.

Not because they didn’t like my work but because they didn’t know where they belonged.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE TRY ON ART?

Something delightful.
Something revealing.
Something very human.

BEYOND ADORNMENT - GLOW UP experience brought together people who had nothing in common except curiosity. And yet, the moment they stood before my camera, their inner worlds became beautifully visible.

Some hid at first, as if the lens could read their thoughts.
Some performed, as if a giant necklace required a persona.
Some relaxed instantly, as though being photographed were their native language.
And others, my favorite, surprised themselves by glowing without effort.

Age didn’t matter.
Background didn’t matter.
Experience with art jewelry certainly didn’t matter.
What mattered was this:

Every person has a moment where the outer adornment awakens the inner one.

My job is simply to witness it.

And on that Sunday with coffee, tea, wine, sculptural jewelry, and a room full of humans discovering themselves, I witnessed dozens.

It felt like photographing little awakenings.

SAME FOOTAGE. TWO VIBES. WILDLY DIFFERENT FEELS.

Let’s play a little game, shall we?

This is what happens when a visual artist (hi, that’s me 😋) decides to play mad scientist with storytelling.

I took a single video — me, in my natural post-party habitat, basking in golden light and blissfully demolishing birthday chocolate created by an amazing like it's an Olympic sport — but paired it with two totally different music tracks and two different storylines.

One feels soft and nostalgic.
The other? Maybe a bit dramatic. Or cinematic. Or suspiciously like I’m plotting a rom-com meet-cute with a praline.

The point?
👉 Music and text are POWERFUL.
They don’t just support a story — they create it.
 
As someone who usually lives behind the camera shooting glamorous portraits and unforgettable events, this was a fun little experiment to show how two simple elements can shift the whole emotional feel of a scene.

Same footage.
Different music.
Different text.
Totally different vibe.

Grand Opening of Profile Studio and FotoDelray and One-Year Celebration of Nothing Basic

In a city as charming as The Hague, it takes something truly special to stand out. Nothing Basic, the leading showroom of unique, high-end interior design, joyfully announced the grand opening of the photo studio on July 7th, 2024. This celebration also marked the first anniversary of the concept store, located at Frederikstraat 481 in the heart of The Hague.

Since its successful launch on May 26, 2023, Nothing Basic has been on a mission to redefine interior design with a meticulously curated collection of furniture, decor, and accessories that would make even the dullest room dazzle. The latest feather in their cap is the photo studio, helmed by the internationally-accredited portrait photographer Nataliya Volosovych. This photo studio combines two brands: Profile Studio and FotoDelray. This creative hub promises clients a personalized approach to photoshoots, ranging from personal branding and business portraits to event photography, contemporary women's portraits, children's artistic portraits, boutique weddings, and much more.
