I’m reading, you’re painting - we’re spending this evening together on the beach. What could be more beautiful?

When I read about the plan Jean had for this session, I was almost jumping with excitement! Because… books! I could add books to every single photo. And painting on the beach has always been one of my unfulfilled dreams. Now I feel so inspired (and I already know what I’d paint - clouds).

📸I love it when a photoshoot unfolds at your own pace. When you’re simply yourselves, enjoying each other’s company. You can see it in the photographs, and those are the moments you’ll remember every time you look back at them. Isn’t that the perfect kind of session?

I always say that if I had to choose just one thing you absolutely have to bring to your session, it would be a good mood. Outfits, props, beautiful ideas - they all help, and they definitely add something special. But it’s your joy, your presence, and the happiness of simply being together that create the most beautiful memories, because they’re real. The way you are with each other is the most precious thing to remember.

And that’s exactly how this session felt - the most beautiful kind, because it was so natural and filled with joy. I absolutely adore you both!

Something that always works 😁

A change of clothes and a towel in your backpack, plus a mindset switched to having fun - that’s all you need for this photoshoot to be epic!

I can’t imagine a better time to do it than during a heat wave in the Netherlands. 🤭🫠

First pictures from our unexpected yet absolutely stunning shoot that got photobombed by the epic storm last Friday.

The colors were as crazy as you see in the pictures: an intense orange sunset with thick, dark clouds above. The orange mixed with blue, and our faces turned red from the light.

Just a few minutes later, the wind went crazy and we started running to the car. A photographer’s life - never boring 😁

When I did my last session with a 2-month-old, we thought she didn’t smile much. But going through the gallery, I saw so many cute smiles when she was looking at her parents. It seems those smiles are so fleeting that we barely even noticed them. But now they’ll never be lost. How cool is that?
