I’m deeply grateful to Thinktank Photo for your continued support throughout my journeys in the Himalayas.
It means so much to me that you’ve chosen this particular image to be featured in the brochure booklet. This photo carries immense significance — it tells one of the most important stories in my entire documentary on the history of the Sherpas.
The man in the image is Geljin Sherpa, a yak herder — a role that has been vital to Sherpa life for centuries. Yak herding is one of the key adaptations that allowed the Sherpas to thrive in the high Himalayas over 400 years ago. Geljin embodied this deep-rooted tradition while also being part of history in another extraordinary way: he was a member of Sir Edmund Hillary’s original expedition team, the first to summit Mt. Everest.
He passed away last year, which makes this documentation all the more meaningful. I’m grateful I was able to capture and preserve a part of his story.
Thank you again for helping honor and share this legacy.

Just installed Nikon K-3 focusing screen on my Nikon DF. Although modding it is quite an adventure. This makes the Nikon DF a real vintage feel Morden camera. Fantastic aesthetics meets function. This brings all my vintage Nikkor lenses alive! It’s the best toy for this summer 😆😆

Just unboxed my new Sekonic L858D it’s about time to move on from my old light meter. The L858 will help me work through both video and photography set with ease.
Also just unboxed my very first ice cream machine!

From learning photography 101 to flying around the world chasing absolutely beautiful light that tells a story. I have tried to master the craft of story telling through the most genuine perspective as I can.
Who knows now I’m working in a huge studio, a barista, a car detailer, also working in the kitchen from time to time.

Life is a beautiful journey where you gain experience through resistance. These precious experiences painted a fascinating canvas what we call life.
I really cherish mine and grateful to all who have been part of it. A silent moment like this morning to me is a rare luxury where I procrastinate in the sun.
