A gentle, yet powerful, look from the largest cat in the world…🐅

Being the largest cat in the world these tigers can weigh up to 300kg. They have a thick, pale-orange fur and a mane around the neck to protect against the freezing temperatures, along with wide paws that can act as snowshoes.❄️

An intense stare, a moment of eye contact…

Mandrills have the one of the most colorful faces amongst primates. It features red, blue and sometimes even purple skin particularly on adult males. These vivid colors are used for communication and social signals, the more dominant one is the brighter their face especially amongst males.🐵

Jaguars are known for their insanely powerful bite and their swimming ability.💦 Having the most powerful bite out of all the big cats they’re able to crush skulls and turtle shells. They’re opportunistic hunters with a diet that even include caiman.🐊 Hunting from land, trees and even the water, they’re an insane force to be reckoned with.

Happy World Lemur Day from one of my faves from the group I’ve spend a countless amount of time with!🩶

Lemurs are primates that live only on Madagascar.🇲🇬They have female-dominant societies, a wide range of sizes, and lots of unique behaviors like the ring-tailed lemur’s “stink fights”. They are very important for the forest ecosystems as they play a role as seed dispersers. They also have many fascinating abilities such as the Indri’s vocal “singing”. Many lemur species are sadly (critically) endangered due to mamy factors such as habitat loss and hunting.🪾
