Face to face with the king of the rainforest.🦧

A shot I’ve been after for ages and finally got on our last trip.🤩

In the Malaysian language ‘Orang’ means Human and ‘Utan’ means Forest. De orangutan indeed is a large primate living in de trees of the rainforest. There’s 3 species of orangutan, the Sumatran living on Sumatra. There’s Bornean living in Borneo and the last one was discovered in 2017: Tapanuli.

Walking slowly, balancing perfectly…🐆

Clouded leopards have the longest tail-to-body ratio of any cat. It’s exceptionally long, thick and specialized to maintain perfect balance high in the forest canopy.🌳
