First result from last week’s underwater shoot! 🧜🏼‍♀️✨

It was 👑Princess👑’s first time posing underwater, but you’d honestly think she does this every day 😂 And I can assure you: posing underwater is HARD!

We had the most magical day together with Andres Curiel, who booked a private underwater masterclass. Make sure to keep an eye out for his results too, because I already know they’re going to be EPIC 🥹✨

And a special thanks to Onderwaterstudio once again for keeping our cameras dry and safe, helping us throughout the day, hosting us, and letting us experiment with her new lighting setup 🤗 Definitely renting that setup again for my next underwater shoots!

Het eerste resultaat van de onderwatershoot van vorige week! 🧜🏼‍♀️✨

Het was 👑Princess👑 haar eerste keer poseren onder water, maar daar was echt niks van te zien 😂 En geloof me: poseren onder water is HARD!

We hadden een supermagische dag met Andres Curiel, die een privé onderwatermasterclass had geboekt. Ik kan niet wachten om zijn resultaten te zien 🥹✨

En natuurlijk weer dank aan Onderwaterstudio voor alle hulp, het veilig en droog houden van onze camera’s én het testen van haar nieuwe lichtsetup 🤗 Die ga ik absoluut vaker huren!

Vanaf mei 2027 zijn privé onderwatershoots en masterclasses weer te boeken 🧜🏼‍♀️ Je kunt je nu alvast op de wachtlijst zetten via de link in bio 😌

I still think about this dress choice 😂🤍

When I planned this shoot, the styling actually made perfect sense in my head. I LOVE working ton-sur-ton and choosing colors that feel like they belong in the location. It can make an image feel so soft, dreamy and harmonious. ✨

But this time? I wish I’d done the exact opposite. 😂

There was already SO much happening in the background. Light rocks, endless textures, lots of little details… and then I put myself right in the middle of it wearing basically the same colors. 🫠

Looking back, I would’ve chosen contrast. Something bold. Something that immediately separates the subject from all those textures.

So naturally, I had to Photoshop the dress red just to torture myself with what could’ve been. 😂❤️

And yep… I would’ve packed the red dress.

Lesson learned: ton-sur-ton and contrasting colors can BOTH work beautifully. The question I try to ask myself now is: do I want my subject to blend beautifully into this world, or stand out from it? 👀✨

Now I’m curious: do you prefer contrasting or harmonious colors in photos? ❤️🤍

Ik denk nog steeds na over deze jurkkeuze 😂🤍

Tijdens het plannen leek het eigenlijk heel logisch. Ik werk graag ton-sur-ton en kies vaak kleuren die mooi matchen met de omgeving. Dat zorgt voor zo’n zacht, dromerig en harmonieus beeld. ✨

Maar hier? Had ik achteraf juist voor contrast gekozen. De achtergrond is al zó druk en vol texturen dat ik in deze lichte jurk bijna wegval. 🫠

Dus ja… natuurlijk moest ik de jurk even rood Photoshoppen om mezelf te confronteren met wat het óók had kunnen zijn. 😂❤️

Les geleerd: ton-sur-ton én contrast kunnen prachtig werken. De vraag is vooral: wil ik dat mijn onderwerp opgaat in de wereld, of er juist uitspringt? 👀✨

On nights when the water turned still, she would carry the moon across the lake and whisper stories to the stars. 🌙✨

Vorige week kwam 👑Princess👑 bij mij in het zwembad spelen en op de een of andere manier eindigden we met een compleet klein maanverlicht wereldje. 😂🌙 We gingen voor een Moon Goddess-thema, omringden haar met waterlelies, gaven haar de maan (die ik voor een eerder project had gemaakt) en deden gewoon alsof het niet midden op een héél zonnige dag was. 👀

Om die donkere, magische nachtsfeer te creëren gebruikte ik mijn GlareOne Botis 400 met een beauty dish, en ik vind het ZO tof hoe moody alles hierdoor werd😍. Van klaarlichte dag in een zwembad naar dit mysterieuze kleine middernachtsetting 💙✨

En natuurlijk maakte een beetje Photoshop-magie het verhaal af. 🪄

Last week 👑Princess👑 came over to play in my pool, and somehow we ended up creating an entire little moonlit world in there. 😂🌙 We decided on a Moon Goddess theme, surrounded her with waterlilies, gave her the moon (that I had crafted for an earlier project) and basically pretended it wasn’t actually the middle of a very sunny day👀

To create that dark, magical night atmosphere I used my GlareOne Botis 400 with a beauty dish, and I LOVE how moody it made everything look. From bright daylight in a pool to this mysterious little midnight scene 💙✨

And of course, a little Photoshop magic finished the story. 🪄

“Ik photoshop het wel!” 🪄
Mijn visagistes beginnen al te lachen als ik deze zin wéér zeg tijdens een shoot als mijn model maakt zich druk om een vlek, een pukkeltje of iets anders wat net niet handig is… Want ik herhaal deze zin ongeveer 10x per shoot😂🙈

Ik ben gewoon een Photoshop-girlie! 😌Natuurlijk probeer ik tijdens een shoot alles zo goed mogelijk te doen, maar ik vind het óók heerlijk om niet over elk klein detail te hoeven stressen. Als we lekker in de flow zitten dan wil ik bezig zijn met de foto, het licht en de sfeer. Niet met tien minuten zoeken naar de perfecte witbalans of me druk maken om een klein vlekje op een jurk.
Sterker nog: een groot deel van mijn stijl ontstaat pas in de nabewerking: Daar voeg ik de laatste sfeer toe, werk ik storende elementen weg en maak ik het beeld precies zoals ik het in mijn hoofd had.🧚

Wil jij ook met veel meer plezier en zelfvertrouwen in Photoshop werken, maar raak je al overweldigd zodra je het programma opstart?
