Change rarely arrives with applause.
More often, it comes quietly, through reflection, discomfort, and the decision to no longer live by expectations that were never truly yours.

There will always be people who believe you owe them clarity, explanations, or reassurance. People who confuse their familiarity with you for authority over your choices. But growth does not require permission, and transformation is not something you need to defend.

Staying true to yourself means listening inward, even when the outside world grows louder. It means choosing what feels aligned rather than what feels acceptable. You are allowed to evolve, to step into new versions of yourself, and to let go of what no longer fits without justifying every step along the way.

Do what brings you peace. Do what feels honest. Not to please others, not to maintain comfort, but to honor who you are. In the end, the only accountability that truly matters is the one you hold with yourself.

Life isn’t a straight line. We all move through ups and downs, sometimes in ways we never saw coming. I’ve learned that you can’t always control what happens, but you can choose how you keep going. And maybe you really do need the lows to recognise, feel, and appreciate the highs.

In my work, the highs are easy to spot: photographing a beautiful dance performance, capturing dancers who give everything, creating portraits in my studio or on location. Those moments light me up every single time.

But I’ve also known deep sadness. Losing both of my parents left a space no one can fill. Not being able to take care of them anymore, not being able to ask for their advice… I miss their voices, their presence. That pain stays with you.

And then there are the ups and downs that come from people themselves. Some lift you up, support you, and inspire you. Others… don’t. Some take advantage of your good intentions, misuse your effort, or treat you in ways you did not deserve.

But still, I choose to keep doing what makes me happy. To create. To connect. To photograph people in their strength, their softness, their stories. Because in the end, the highs are worth it and the lows remind me why šŸ’•

Where do we go?
When we no longer have a home?
Flowers grow from under the concrete
Mom, tell me, where do we go?
Will we really know one day?
Or are we just faking it, all the time?
Where does our heart go when it gets lost?
In its doubts and winters?
Why is everyday the same?
Will we end up seeing what we have put together?
Mom, tell me

Over yonder
From the storm, there is
Love, love, love
When heave opens up
Everything becomes calm again
And all is well

Where do we go?
Happiness, that fragile thread
Where it wobbles and breaks?
Mom, tell me, where do it go?
Why does the world seem so big?
Where we become just a bit bigger than before?
What happens to the lost dreams?
And forgotten memories?
Will I always have questions?
Perhaps I will make them into songs
Mom, tell me

Over yonder
From the storm, there is
Love, love, love
When heave opens up
Everything becomes calm again
And all is well

The Invisible Art of Seeing

As a dance photographer, I work in the shadows and the darks….silent, still, invisible. My role is to disappear so that the dancers can exist fully in their moment and the audience will not be disturbed. The audience often sees me, and that’s exactly how it should be.

Yet, every image that survives after the curtain closes is shaped by my presence — by how I read the rhythm of the scene, how I follow the breath between movements, how I wait for the perfect intersection of light and emotion. It is the most beautiful art form for me to photograph.

Dance is teamwork, on stage and beyond it. Dancers, choreographers, lighting designers, musicians, costume designers, technicians… and yes, photographers too.
Every image that circulates, every poster, every memory, they exist because someone stood quietly in the dark and translated movement into stillness.

Recognition isn’t about ego; it’s about respect for every craft that shapes what we call art. When we honour all who contribute, we keep the art form alive šŸ’•
