Ben je geïnteresseerd in fotografie? Overweeg je om lid te worden van onze vereniging om je vaardigheden te verbeteren of gewoon je passie met anderen te delen? Of ben je al een tijdje lid? Hoe dan ook, iedereen is van harte welkom bij onze traditionele eerste fotografie-activiteit van het jaar: Staalwolfotografie, waarbij we met behulp van licht en brandend metaal de lucht ‘beschilderen’ en dit met onze camera’s vastleggen.

Het is aan te raden om een camera en/of een statief mee te nemen, maar dat is niet noodzakelijk, want je kunt er ook gebruik van maken van die van anderen. Op donderdag 10 september zal de workshop plaatsvinden. Afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid aanmeldingen, gaan we van tevoren eerst bij een café zitten met een zaaltje, zodat iedereen de uitleg goed kan meekrijgen. In dat geval zullen we om 19:30 beginnen. Mocht de groep niet te groot zijn, waardoor instructies op het strand mogelijk zien, dan zal de workshop beginnen om 20:00. De staalfotografie zelf zal dus plaatsvinden op het strandje bij de spiegelwaal. Hier hebben we voldoende vrije ruimte, zodat we niet per ongeluk iets in brand steken.
Je hoeft geen lid te zijn of ervaring te hebben. Kom gewoon langs en geniet ervan.

Are you interested in photography? Are you considering joining our club to improve your skills, or just to share your passion with others? Or have you been a member for a while? Either way, everyone is warmly welcome to our traditional first photography activity of the year: Steel Wool Photography, where we use light and burning metal to "paint" the sky and capture it with our cameras.
Bringing a camera and/or a tripod is recommended, but not essential, as you can also use someone else’s equipment. The workshop will take place on Thursday, September 10th. Depending on the number of sign-ups, we may start at a pub with a private room so everyone can clearly hear the briefing. In that case, we will begin at 19:30. If the group is smaller and instructions can be given directly on the beach, the workshop will start at 20:00. The steel wool photography itself will take place on the small beach at the Spiegelwaal. Het is alweer bijna tijd om afscheid te nemen van de vakantie en het nieuwe schooljaar te verwelkomen. Dat betekent ook dat we het 46e bestuur gedag moeten zeggen en het 47e bestuur gaan verwelkomen!

Daarom willen we jullie allemaal uitnodigen voor de jaarlijkse Wissel-ALV op dinsdag 3 september om 19:00 op campus. Om deze overgang te laten slagen, hebben we zoveel mogelijk leden nodig die komen stemmen voor het nieuwe bestuur. We hebben echt genoeg mensen nodig om op belangrijke zaken te kunnen stemmen, dus zorg dat je kunt komen!

Mocht je er niet bij kunnen zijn, kun je het ook online volgen of iemand anders machtigen om voor je te stemmen.

Er zullen ook snacks en drankjes zijn, dus we kijken ernaar uit om er een gezellige avond van te maken en hopen jullie allemaal daar te zien :)

It's almost time to say goodbye to the summer holidays and welcome the new school year. That also means we're saying goodbye to the 46th board and welcoming the 47th board!

That's why we'd like to invite all of you to our annual Board Change General Meeting on Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:00 PM on campus. To make this transition a success, we need as many members as possible to come and vote for the new board. We really need enough people to be able to vote on important matters, so make sure you can come!

If you can't be there, you can also follow it online or have someone else vote on your behalf.

There will be snacks and drinks as well, so we look forward to making it a fun evening and hope to see you all there :)

Eindelijk de tentamens overlevd en nu genieten van de zomervakantie!

Laat je inspireren door het dagelijks leven, nieuwe films in de bioscoop en wandelingen in de komende warme avonden. Dan zien we je foto's arriveren in [email protected] na de zomervakantie uiterlijk 10 augustus!

Verwoeste, overwoekerde steden, stoere strijders die op zoek zijn naar grondstoffen: we zijn allemaal wel eens in een dystopie terechtgekomen (vooral als je in de jaren 2010 een tiener was). En gezien de manier waarop de wereld zich ontwikkelt, wie weet belanden we er wel in (hoewel ik eerlijk gezegd meer hoop op “Scythe” dan op “The Hunger Games”).
Hoe dan ook, het thema voor deze maandelijkse uitdaging is “Dystopie”. Stuur je sombere/rauwe foto's vóór 10 juli naar [email protected].

Ruined, overgrown cities, tough warriors searching for resources: we’ve all encountered a dystopia at some point (especially if you were a teenager in the 2010s). And given the way the world is going, who knows, we might well end up there (though to be honest, I’m hoping more for “Scythe” than “The Hunger Games”).

URBEX-FOTOGRAFIE

Ga met ons mee naar het hart van de ruïnes van een hoogovencomplex dat in 1985 werd gesloten. Maak mooie foto’s van de verweerde en afbrokkelende overblijfselen uit het verleden. Overwoekerd door de natuur en vol verhalen, en bovenal prachtig om te zien en te fotograferen. Als je fan bent van The Hunger Games, herken je misschien enkele locaties uit de nieuwste films :)

Je kunt zelf naar de locatie komen of ons ontmoeten bij het centraal station van Nijmegen en met ons meerijden. (Meld je in beide gevallen aan).

URBEX PHOTOGRAPHY

Come with us to the centrepiece of the ruins of a blast furnace complex that was closed down in 1985. Shoot some nice photo's of the weathered and crumbling remnants of the past. Overgrown by nature and full of stories, and more importantly, amazing to see and photograph. Also if you are a fan of the Hungergames you might recgogise some places from the latest movies :)

You can either make your way to the location yourself or meet us at central station Nijmegen and join us in the car . (either way sign up please).

Kom collages maken uit oude fotografietijdschriften 15 juni om 19.30 in de bestuurskamer! Er wordt gezorgd voor lijm, scharen en natuurlijk papier waarop je een collage kan maken, maar als je zelf een journal of dummy hebt, voel je vrij om die mee te nemen :) We kijken er naar uit om jullie creaties te zien!

Chair
Are you organised and a good team player? Do you enjoy leading a group and helping others carry out their tasks? If so, you might just be the right person for the role of Chair of de Cycloop.

As Chair, it is your job to organise the general running of our association, keep track of deadlines and lead both de Cycloop and the board. You organise meetings and ensure that the rest of the board can carry out their tasks. The Chair is the face and head of our association. It is an essential role and he or she keeps the board together.

Treasurer
Are you good with numbers and do you have a strong analytical mind? Would you like to improve your financial management skills and gain experience in how finances work? Then the role of treasurer might be just the thing for you.
As treasurer, you’ll be responsible for the society’s finances, sending out invoices and keeping track of all financial matters. It’s a vital role on our board, and you don’t need to know a great deal about finance to fulfil this role. The workload is also very manageable, with peaks at the start and in the middle of the year.

Secretary
Are you good at communicating and writing, and do you enjoy it? Are you organised and methodical? If so, you might be the right person to be our next secretary.
As secretary, you’ll be responsible for de Cycloop’s email and membership management. You’ll also keep track of our events (such as galas), find photographers for them, and handle external communications. The role of secretary involves one main task that you can easily carry out at a time that suits you.

Internal External Commissioner
Do you enjoy interacting with people and promoting things you’re passionate about? Are you creative and open-minded? Then this might be the role for you!
As Internal/External Commissioner, you’ll be responsible for the website, our Instagram and promotional material in general, including our fantastic monthly newsletter. You’ll also work alongside our committees, such as the Accie, to help organise the great activities we put on. It’s a role offering plenty of variety and flexibility. You can let your creativity run wild and bring your own fresh ideas to de Cycloop.
