If you are struggling to get pregnant and need medical fertility support, the medical procedures and all the uncertainty and anxiety surrounding them are challenging enough. Searching for alternative fertility treatments abroad may seem like introducing extra logistical challenges into the picture. When multiple fertility treatments have failed, and your questions and doubts seem to keep on accumulating as to whether your chances of getting pregnant are optimized. It might then be time to explore your options, so that you do not resent not having done everything in your hands to realize your dreams to have a child. As a fertility coach who has gone through my own personal fertility journey, it was liberating to ask for a second opinion abroad and to know that there were alternatives available if the treatments in the Netherlands would fail. It gave me hope and perspective. Gathering information as to what is possible might give you a peace of mind, highly needed in the rollercoaster of the fertility journey.

Met doe ik vanavond mee met een , dit keer met het thema Moederdag.

Moeder worden en moeder zijn is iets dat je leven voorgoed verandert. Het zit in de kleine momenten, in de kracht van een vrouw tijdens de geboorte, in de eerste ontmoeting met haar baby en in de liefde die vanaf dat moment voelbaar is.

Als geboortefotografen mogen we deze bijzondere overgang van dichtbij vastleggen. Niet alleen de geboorte van een kindje, maar ook de geboorte van een moeder.

Ik heb deze foto gekozen bij dit thema omdat deze foto voor mij de samensmelting van moeder en dochter zo mooi heeft vastgelegd.

Françoise Molenaar and I are launching a series of fertility circles that will build upon each other. This gives us the opportunity to grow and heal together. The first two circles will be online and the last circle of the circle live at the Dana Centrum in Zeist.

What started as a dream in March 2024 is now in my hands - our book with The Shamanic River of Life: A Journey on Siberian Shamanism & its Dutch translation De Sjamanistische Rivier van het Leven: Een reis door Siberisch sjamanisme. Both versions are available on Amazon.

This book is not only about shamanism, it is about real life stories of healing and transformation, including my own fertility journey which has led to my work as Doula and fertility coach.

The circle was round when my son Berke helped me with the language corrections in Dutch, and the Dutch book was published on his birthday.

Here’s to the River of Life and the fulfillment of wishes we hold close to our heart.

TRUST
Trusting your body
Trusting yourself
Trusting your life path

So essential, yet so hard in a world where we are so wired to control, to do, to achieve results and outcomes.

What makes my work so challenging, mysterious, and exciting is to be working in a field where the deep trust is necessary. You can’t control conception; you can’t control pregnancy; you can’t control birth. I guess what brings the most tears and frustration is the realization that all we can do is do our best, but we cannot know the outcome. And noone can actually guarantee the outcome.

Such is life in essence, too. So what do we do?
We learn to accept.
We learn to trust.
We learn to trust that our body is capable of becoming pregnant, staying pregnant, growing new life in our belly, birthing and raising this new human-being.

Trust, one step at a time.
Trust that it will all unfold at the perfect time, place, with the right people. And that we will know this only afterwards.
For now, all we can do is to trust.

Not saying goodbye to my dear falling star logo, but I thought she could use some company of Sky Mother. As I integrate shamanic teachings and methods to my work as a Doula, this seems like the next step. The core remains the same - I am here to support you in MAKİNG YOUR WISH COME TRUE, whether it is getting pregnant, having a peaceful birth, or experiencing more well-being as a woman.

Als je echt eerlijk bent, ben je na zo veel maanden mislukte pogingen om zwanger te worden je vertrouwen in je lijf zo goed als kwijt. En daarmee ook je vertrouwen in je droom, in je toekomst zoals jij het een paar jaar geleden voor je ogen had.

Je hoofd dwaalt maar door in negatieve scenario’s…Immers heeft je positieve mindset ook niet geholpen toen je er wél vertrouwen in had.

Je hebt waarschijnlijk bijna het dieptepunt van je fertiliteitstraject bereikt. En dat is zeker een donkere plek. Weinig hoop en mogelijkheden in het vizier en dan een lijf vol teleurstellingen en hormonen van de hele rit.

Je zou graag uit deze put willen komen, maar je weet gewoon niet meer hoe. En toch vind je het eng om er professionele ondersteuning voor te krijgen. Het is een hoop investering en je moet misschien ook sparen voor een extra dure IVF behandeling in het buitenland.

Hoe zou het zijn als je eerst even alles wat er gebeurd is zou kunnen verwerken? Even rouwen om dan te resetten en weer voor te gaan met nieuwe vertrouwen?

Wat als je jezelf en je lijf weer een kans geeft om opnieuw te beginnen?

En als ik je ook vertel dat je de tools die je meekrijgt met fertiliteitscoaching niet alleen nu, maar altijd voor je eigen rust en welzijn in je leven kunt inzetten?

Je hebt alles over voor je kinderwens. Wat is voor jou de grootste drempel om hulp te ontvangen om het vertrouwen in jezelf en je kinderwens weer op te kunnen bouwen?

HET VERTROUWEN IN JE LICHAAM - Een rode draad in mijn werk als fertiliteitscoach en doula.

Hier mogen we als vrouwen zeker meer aandacht aan besteden. We hebben prachtige lichamen die, naast alle andere gewone functies, ook zwanger kunnen worden, een kind kunnen dragen, bevallen en voeden.

Door alle medische zorg die beschikbaar is, vergeten we soms dat we alle kracht en wijsheid in ons hebben en leunen te veel naar adviezen van buitenaf.

Wat voel je? Wat zegt/vraagt je lichaam? Daar mogen we naar luisteren.

Ik weet dat het vertrouwen in het lichaam kan kelderen als natuurlijk zwanger worden niet lukt. Ik weet dat het zelfs niet lukt om te genieten van de prille zwangerschap als het eenmal lukt omdat je bang bent dat het mis kan gaan.

Laten we juist van dat stukje werk van maken. Leren vertrouwen in je lichaam. Lief en dankbaar zijn voor je lichaam die zo veel voor je doet, terwijl je hier zit om dit te lezen. 🧘‍♀️
