In case anyone was wondering why they couldn't find me on Instagram anymore, it's because I made my account inactive for the time being. My health is failing me and I haven't photographed anything for the past 6 months. Although I still have a long way to go regarding my health, I managed to photograph again the past week. I went to the Illumination Week at Kinderdijk to take this photo. Photographing means going beyond my physical limits and it's costing me, but I'm still glad that I went.

I almost completely missed this shot. First because the place was packed with photographers, so I had to bicycle to another spot first (photo two posts back). And when I came back later after the sunset had already peaked, I managed to take this shot just minutes before a boat broke down right in front of me. It took forever for another boat to tow away the broken one. By then the sunset was gone and the night sky had turned ugly brown of light pollution.
Still, I'm just glad I managed to take this shot, even though it wasn't at the sunset peaking point. 🌅😊

Throwback to an adventurous evening in Haarlem where I met up with . While we were photographing in a street, a guy approached us and asked us if we were interested to photograph from his 'rooftop'. Ofcourse we were interested! 😍 We went into his house, and I remember that his house was incredibly weird with narrow sneak paths and steep stairs and low ceilings and small doors that I couldn't even go through standing up straight. I think this house must have been built ages ago when people were not as tall as I am. 😄 After going through this maze of a house, we arrived in his bedroom and stepped onto his 'rooftop'. I noticed a puddle and ofcourse I had to take a puddlegram on his rooftop. After a few photos, we went down again and left this friendly guy alone to enjoy his evening.
