The Martinez

60 ml Genever (𝗭π—ͺ𝗔π—₯𝗧 𝗑𝗔𝗭𝗔π—₯π—˜π—§π—›)
30 ml sweet vermouth
5 ml Maraschino liqueur
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 dash of orange bitters

Stir with plenty of ice. Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass. Garnish with an orange zest.

Sōzō - inspired by a recipe of Oskar Kinberg (Shiso Fine)

5–6 slices celery
3 slices cucumber
50 ml .official gin
20 ml simple syrup
10 ml shiso liqueur ()
15 ml lemon juice

Method:
Muddle the celery, cucumber, and syrup in a shaker. Add the rest and shake with ice. Fine strain into a chilled Nick & Nora. Garnish with a celery leaf.

15 ml grapefruit juice
15 ml cinnamon syrup
7,5 ml Campari
2 dashes saline solution
egg white

Method: shake dry then with ice
Glassware: tumbler with ice cubes
Garnish: freshly grated cinnamon

Who says cinnamon only works in autumn and winter πŸ˜‰

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph the Eredivisie match between FC Groningen and NEC Nijmegen during a masterclass organized by with .

What stood out to me most wasn’t just the level of football.

It was everything around it.

The pressure.
The reactions.
The communication.
The moments between the moments.

Different level. Same emotions. And I loved every second of it.

Brandy Spritz

I still love a good boozy drink, but on warmer days I keep coming back to a Spritz. It’s just easy and always enjoyable.

The classic Aperol or Campari? Always good. But you can always go for something different. This one with spiced brandy is one I keep going back to.

I actually made this a while ago, but still is a lovely drink for the coming season. One thing I won’t compromise on: a nice crisp prosecco. It really makes or breaks it.

Brandy Spritz

10 mint leaves
50 ml spiced brandy ()
15 ml ginger syrup
90 ml prosecco
30 ml soda water

Lightly bruise the mint, add to a glass with ice. Add the brandy and ginger syrup, top with prosecco and soda. Stir gently.
