"Stone-born men" series

In Egypt, in the shadow of ancient stones, they keep watch.
In Karnak, their silhouettes glide between giant columns engraved with hieroglyphics. In Luxor, they watch visitors pass by as one watches centuries pass. Facing the desert in Giza, they guard the entrance to a world that is five thousand years old. And on the island of Philae, surrounded by the waters of the Nile, their footsteps echo on the sun-heated stone.
They are neither priests nor pharaohs. Yet they belong to the temple.
Sitting in the shade of a carved wall or walking slowly between the colonnades, they are the silent guardians of a dialogue between past and present.
For the temples of Egypt live not only through their ancient gods, but also through the men who still watch over their doors.

Time doesn't pass: it settles. In photography, its presence becomes a subtle substance—grain. It is there that light thickens, building the invisible skin of the image, the surface where memory takes shape.
Within each fragment vibrates a duration, a breath that continues even after we gaze.
In In the Grain of Time, photography reveals itself as the body of time.
The imperfections and vibrations of the material are traces of what survives, memories that resurface not as recollections, but as diffuse presences.
Grain doesn't interrupt the vision: it brings it to life, reminding us that time isn't just what we measure, but what we feel.

I have just returned from Egypt where the situation for children is so difficult. 😔 Here is my latest article and my pho...

Why are all my prints sustainable and environmentally friendly?

As a photographer / artist, I place great importance on ensuring that my prints are not only beautiful, but also truly sustainable. That’s why I consistently use Hahnemühle Natural Line H**p FineArt Paper, 290 g/m², and I’d like to explain the deeper reasons behind this choice.
