The 4Aviation group had also scheduled Sunday in Romania, as this is the reserve day for the BIAS. Since the weather was glorious the whole time, the reserve day was not necessary, and we were able to use this day to visit a few nice aviation locations in and around Bucharest.

The last day of BIAS2026 was very varied; mind you, BIAS is not a fully military show, but it also features a lot of general aviation, and there was plenty of that too. Nevertheless, we had expected to see a few more military aircraft, both Romanian and foreign, on the static display. It is a great place to take photos, and we will certainly be showing more of those in the near future.

Day 1 at BIAS was blessed with glorious weather and a nice collection of local and foreign aircraft. Here a small collection of the local ones with the highlight, for many, the Blackhawk demo.

The dress rehearsals for BIAS2026 were in full swing on Thursday, and the group was there. The An-30 greeted us at Otopeni when we stepped off our plane there.

There was great disappointment when it was announced that the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford would not be going ahead. had arranged a number of coaches for the one- and two-day trips, as well as two minivans that were primarily intended for the RIAT but would also visit a few other bases. There was still sufficient interest in the latter group to organise a lovely trip to the United Kingdom together.

No sooner said than done: after agreeing on a lovely route, the group crossed the Channel in mid-July. Our report can be found here:

Looking back on a fantastic trip to Sweden! ✈️

The past few days have been long for the 4Aviation group in Sweden. Our yellow 100th anniversary celebration shirts were well received by the many attendees at the event. The airshow presented its challenges due to the positioning of the display line and the position of the sun, but a positive feeling prevails thanks to the excellent organization and the presence of many amazing aircraft.
