“Autumn owl”

Maybe it’s nice to let you see how the setting of this tawny owl was and how I used my space to get better photographs.

I think that everybody that knows my work can tell that I love close-ups.

But sometimes it’s better to create more distance and use the leafs of the trees to make a photograph better.

Like I did in this case. The leafs of the trees where like a natural frame and brighten the surrounding of the owl.

“Golden hour”

Last year I’ve spend some time at Helgoland to see the northern ganets.

Great birds! Very funny to observe with their funny sounds and actions.

This was my last night and I was so lucky with that beautiful sunlight!

“Owl carousel “

When you’re spending a few days with the most lovely long eared owl family and have so many photographs then share a lot of them at the same time.

When you’re photographing an adult eagle owl and then all of a sudden this little one is staring at you from the ground …. I was almost in shock! Couldn’t believe my eyes….. didn’t dare to move but I had to remove my camera from my tripod and lie down on the ground. I was even to close so o had to crawl backwards without scaring this little one …. What a moment!
