Augustus is dé tijd om de Brunssumerheide in haar paarse pracht te bewonderen. De heide staat volop in bloei en verandert het landschap in een prachtig paars tapijt!

Een van mijn lievelingsplekjes om foto’s te maken, te wandelen, te vertragen en uit te kijken naar de hertjes!

En met Sjuul erbij wordt het natuurlijk nóg mooier!! 💜

We spent a truly special weekend at Retreat Guest Farm in Piket-Bo-berg. Surrounded by dramatic rock formations, ancient rock art, and wide open nature, it felt like stepping into another world. Time on the lake between the rocks felt grounding and unforgettable, especially knowing a Cape leopard had been spotted in the same area just the week before.

It was the perfect autumn getaway! Golden light, crisp air, and a cottage that felt like a warm retreat in itself. Fully equipped, thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of wood for the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit. Evenings by the fire, complete stillness, and that deep rest you only find far from everything. A full moon lit up the entire landscape, making it even more magical. 🌕✨

✨ SHE RUNS SAFE ✨

Yesterday, launched the She Runs Safe Women’s Space , a space where women from Somerset West can run together in the winter. The crew provides captains, safety gear, and physical protection during the darker days!

I can’t be more proud of this community, the amazing men who run it and put the women of this community first! But even more of how these women come together like this: it can literally create lightning! ⚡️
