With Layla, I share a similar life journey — two women who at some point chose to take their lives fully into their own hands and begin again, towards health, strength, and self-respect. Together we’ve shed around 100 kg, but what really falls away in a transformation like this is far more than weight.

When you change this deeply, the world starts to look different. People look at you differently. Compliments arrive like echoes from a life that no longer feels real. And still, there are moments when the woman in the mirror feels like a stranger — and a becoming.

Layla came into my studio to meet herself. Not the version the world reacts to, but the one underneath it all — her quiet strength, her softness, her truth. A beautiful soul, finally seen in a new body that carries her story forward rather than hiding it.

I’m honestly a little obsessed with these images, and I’ll be sharing more from this series soon.

It’s been a little quiet here on social media lately, but behind the scenes, the studio has been beautifully busy.
There are moments in the week when I pause and reflect on what an incredible privilege it is to do this work. The work I started after leaving my secure managerial role. To be trusted with something as intimate as portrait photography. To witness women stepping into a new chapter of their lives, reclaiming their power, and reconnecting with themselves after years of putting everyone else first.
I have the honour of meeting so many extraordinary women—women who are awakening to who they truly are, who are no longer willing to make themselves small, and who are finally giving themselves the attention, care, and celebration they deserve.
Today's portrait is of the absolutely divine Claudy. A woman whose presence, strength, and beauty shine from within.

Some women simply radiate beauty, but every now and then, you meet someone whose heart, intelligence, and presence make them really unforgettable. Mary is exactly that kind of woman.

Not only is she strikingly beautiful, elegant, and graceful, but she also has an incredible mind and a deeply compassionate soul. She is a devoted mother and loving wife, balancing family life with warmth, strength, and kindness. At the same time, she dedicates herself to something much bigger than herself: supporting her community and advocating for women’s health in Kenya.

Mary is a doctor by profession, but honestly… she feels more like a superhero in real life to me. The way she cares for people, uplifts others, and gives her energy to meaningful causes is genuinely inspiring. Women like her remind us that true beauty comes from purpose, compassion, and courage.

It was such an honour to welcome you into the studio, Mary. Your energy, intelligence, and warmth filled the room from the moment you walked in. We absolutely loved having you with us and cannot wait to show the world your beautiful portraits. ✨

Sometimes being a portrait photographer just feel like a gift ✨
Working with Lucia was exactly that. From the moment she came to the studio, I know I have a strong, intelligent, and effortlessly beautiful, not just on the outside, but also inside, woman in front of the camera.

Just stumbled upon this absolute gem while browsing through our studio archives to update our portfolio today… and I had to share it. ✨
This portrait session with this incredible woman was one of those moments where everything simply came together — the light, the mood, the confidence she brought into the room. There’s something timeless about black and white portraits like this; they strip everything down and let personality, strength, and elegance take the center stage.
Images like this are exactly why I love going back through the archives. Sometimes you rediscover artwork that deserves to be seen.

Cristina didn’t come to our studio to look younger.
She came to look like herself.
Not the version she was twenty years ago. Not the version the world expects her to be.
But the woman she is now. Confident. Feminine.
There’s something powerful about this stage of life. You stop trying to prove others your worth. You stop trying to please the others. You start choosing yourself. Finally.
