The girl in the painting? 👇🏼👇🏼
Ariel from Washington state 🇺🇸 met her on a pier in Santa Cruz, took her photo with permission, but later lost her contact info. A search campaign on Instagram helped reunite them, and when she saw her face towering over Rotterdam, she was beyond proud! 🥹
Inspired by Rotterdam’s transformation over the past 10-15 years, from rough and industrial to a greener, more vibrant city, Tymon used a powerful metaphor: a young woman growing into adulthood, leaving behind her adolescence and looking toward the future ✨🔮
In 2019, local hero Tymon painted 'Smooth Sailing' on this building. The home-owners association loved it so much that they asked him to extend it to the other side. What started as a half-wall project turned into a full-scale masterpiece...35 meters, his tallest work yet!
