We kept the set tight (aloe, stone, directional light) so the bottle stays hero and the frame still feels premium on shelf and in feed.

Still one of my favourite hair images, shot in 2019 for the Coiffure Awards.

I remember the day clearly: we had an English practice exam at school when called. She was the stylist behind the collection we had shot together. I asked my teacher if I could step into the hallway to take the call, Tom came with me, and Nicole told us we had been nominated. I ran back in grinning.

That moment is why I still love photographing hair. Colour, shape, and movement can turn into something completely its own in front of the camera.

As a photographer I sometimes missed specific props. So we decided to start making our own props to help other creatives.
