🎉 Special Celebration 🎉

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the event which I also helped to organize, the 20th-anniversary celebration for Mijndomein.nl

The celebration began with a tour of the streets of Amsterdam.
The group was divided into small groups to search for clues hidden throughout the city's iconic landmarks.

🚢The adventure continued as everyone gathered aboard the beautiful boat, Succes.

During the event, the management highlighted two decades of growth and success, and the glasses in a toast to twenty years of remarkable achievements were raised. The air was filled with music thanks to the talented singer and entertainer, Luc Burghout, whose performances added extra excitement to the evening.

It is such a privilege to be a part of any special celebration!

Last year was quite the ride. I had the amazing opportunity to support my husband's company - Decision Crew - in marketing, which kept me super busy. But this year, I'm back focusing on photography. 📸

Recently, I had the opportunity to capture another interesting project.😊

Last month was incredibly exciting and filled with activity!

I had the pleasure of capturing beautiful moments at weddings, a family shoot, and had the opportunity to support the Baarn Culture Festival.

One of the highlights was capturing the Literary Award ceremony.

Our life is often centred around major events. The wedding is a great example.

The walk down the aisle, the first kiss, and tossing the bouquet are all memorable moments.

However, it's the small, in-between moments that truly showcase our personalities, define who we are and shape our lives.

These moments are the ones that stick with us as lasting memories.

What is your view on autism?
Read my story below.

It's Autism Awareness Day, and I would like to share my experience with our son, who was diagnosed with autism last year.

He was always a very happy and active child at home, so it was hard for us to believe when we heard that he was not interacting and just lying on the floor in the nursery.

After many observations during his school year, we decided to look into a diagnosis. It has been the best decision we have made for him, as we now have a better understanding of his brain function and behaviour.

Our son is an incredibly loving and caring child. He's always looking out for his bigger sister and giving her a hug when she's upset. He loves socializing but still needs to learn how to join in and a big classroom can be sometimes overwhelming for him. His amazing sense of humour keeps us laughing and seeing his big smile after a dance lesson warms my heart. We have to consider his sensitivity to sounds and inform him about changes to his routines in advance, but overall, he is just a boy who is different and needs a bit more understanding from the people surrounding him.

The general view of autism is often one-sided and doesn't reflect the beauty of the individuals. Our son is a shining example of what an incredible personality a person with autism can be.

So, if you ever meet someone with autism, don't assume you know them. Get to know them and appreciate the unique qualities they bring to the world. They are all different and incredibly special.

January was an interesting month - and not just because of one snowy day! Our car decided to break down on the same day, making it a bit harder to get the kids to school. I do not cycle every day as the Dutch do, and our kids are a bit heavy to cycle with in the bakfiets.

But after two weeks of cycling, I'm fitter. 🤣
I am still looking forward to our new car, but sometimes the tough moments are what we need to make a positive change in our life. 😉 I will definitely cycling more from now on.😅

I have not shared for a while. This one is from last Christmas with this special family.

I am deeply blessed and grateful to have been part of this Christmas photoshoot for the third year in a row. 😘

Now we are in 2023, what is your goals?
On the 1st of January, my grandma passed away 😪 😪 and it has made me reflect on what is truly important and what goals I want to focus on this year and beyond.
We can constantly improve in all areas of our life. Our behaviour effect everyone around us, especially the little ones we are responsible for.
I can see my kids copying my behaviour in many ways. So, my aim this year is to be kind to others and be the best example to younger generation. That is not always easy, but I will do my best .
Furhermore, we are so lucky to have access to so much information and can educate, improve ourselves in anything we are interest in.
Let's use it to our advantage and not just for scrolling social media.😉
