My series of portraits on the Amsterdam ferry is a Muse Photography Awards Gold winner in the Covid-19 related photography category. The portraits were taken of passengers whilst travelling from Amsterdam Noord where I live to Centraal Station. I photographed many people from summer till winter with many of the more memorable portraits occurring when it was very cold or very wet. If you were one of the many people kind enough to say 'yes' when I asked to take your portrait then many, many thanks for your cooperation.

Proud to win an Honourable Mention and Top 5 Jury Selection in the International Photography Awards for my series of Face Mask portraits taken on the Amsterdam Ferries. Many thanks to all the people who allowed me to take their photograph. A special thank you too to Nynke Deinema, Otto Straatman and Juul Kunst who helped with the selection process.

On 1st June 2020 it became mandatory to wear face masks on all forms of public transport in The Netherlands. Shortly hereafter I began taking portraits of my fellow passengers on the ferries operating behind central station in Amsterdam. The ferries are like 'people catchers' where passengers have a...

It was a real tour of Holland to shoot this article about fortified towns for the new look Kampioen for the ANWB. I covered 2000 plus km's travelling to the provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Zeeland, Limburg and Zuid Holland. I averaged 22,000 steps a day exploring all the streets, walls, canals and bridges and slept in my car twice in order to catch the early morning light. All great fun!

Great to start the new year with the cover story for Kampioen for the ANWB. Nanda Raaphorst was my travelling partner and responsible for the written story. The Preikestolen is a truly breathtaking location, it's a sheer 604 meter drop to the fjord below. That didn't stop people queuing up to stand on the edge trying to get that perfect selfie moment!

PLAIN magazine is featuring my bunker series.

It was the haunting geometry of abandoned military bunkers that caught the eye of photographer Jonathan Andrew. Scattered throughout the Dutch landscape, he was fascinated by their unique shapes born out of pure functionality.

National Geographic Traveler use my photos to illustrate an article about 'Koks', the first restaurant to win a Michelin Star on the Faroe Islands. Having been lucky enough to eat there myself I can say that star is well deserved! http://www.natgeotraveler.nl/artikel/dit-restaurant-wint-eerste-michelinster-op-de-faeroereilanden

Het restaurant KOKS gaat dankzij zijn combinatie van traditionele kooktechnieken en duurzame producten van de Faeröer met de eerste Michelinster van het land aan de haal.
