| The Art of Staying |

I photographed Mrs K - Krisztina Tatár - a decade ago (last picture) while she was selling her art on an event in Amsterdam. Since then, life has taken us in different directions, but we never really lost touch.
Then we met again this June on the Art in the Yard fair in Swalmen. I was looking at a woman whose life had changed in ways neither of us could have imagined. And still, I found the same thing that had drawn me to photograph her years ago: an artist who keeps creating from her heart. 🎨
A canvas. A wall. A stone. It doesn’t seem to matter.
She keeps painting spectacular pieces inspired by her journey.
And that is what moved me most.🫶💫
Huge thanks to the amazing woman in frame, Mrs K, for this special occasion to meet and take beautiful lifetime photos with me!💐🧡🥂

He wrote down his never-ending “to do” list on the first page of his new notebook. He used to know how to get things done, it’s an existing pattern. However, priorities changed the order, meanwhile time filled and flipped the pages, changed the language and randomly auto-corrected his words.
Similar to familiar, letting the -s walk away.
Doing nothing about it was the hardest of it all. He took his camera and wondered off the map. - 📝

Blossom 🌸 season

Painting the blooming cherry trees with my camera lights up my soul, so I do it every year, multiple times, no matter the weather. Also to zone out a little bit. Do you prefer the white or the pink flowers?
They do look like clouds, don’t they?!

The Albert Heijn hamsters also wanted to see the blooming trees, so they decided to join in, little miss Y was delighted. In the meantime they also helped her regulating her emotions. An honest smile but also, salty tears, if so it feels.

A pinch of welcoming approach to save some seconds of the now, with the eye-rubbingly beautiful Ms Oti in the edge of a canal bridge. The water was echoing some new amsterdam melodies while we shared some life experiences, but I might not know what the song is about, I only can hum it if I really concentrate. 🎶

🫧 dimension in diffusion 🫧

Last night I selected a few wow-examples to show you the interesting effect of diffusion filters, how the highlight washes out and how the shadows lift their curves cinematically. The question is not if you need this small filter, but rather which strength you prefer on which millimeter lens. 🔬🤩
The energy of Amsterdam Zuid was perfect to blend in and just follow some light trails. I love to see how people are casually just doing their thing. 🫶
And the question is obvious: does rush-hour end faster if we hurry? 🤭

••soul-charging on the ranch••

Restoring connection every time we meet each other again. So it goes in life as well. To photograph the bond unfolding between the beautiful stallions and their caring trainers is an absolute bucket list experience. I felt welcome in the circle, and I completely lost track of time, feeling of cold. I will definitely visit again!🔥

This year we had nice weather during the Nationale Tulpendag, so I planned to arrive later to avoid being in the first line, and invited myself to the sphere of welcoming people. I love them all, without any poetic overdrive. They unintentionally charged my soul😍♥️📸
