Assignments and print sales inquiries, please contact via website. My journey into photography began at the age of 8, when my father gave me my first camera — a Kodak 110. But it wasn’t until I turned 18 and traveled to New York City that my real passion for photography took off. During that unforgettable trip, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel and started experimenting. At first, my photos were more tri

al than triumph, but that hands-on approach shaped my intuitive learning style. I’m a self-taught creative, driven by curiosity and a love for mastering new skills. I learned by doing, attending masterclasses, constantly refining my skills through experimentation and observation. In the early 2000s, after finishing my studies and working as a producer, I transitioned into television directing. Over the years, I directed a range of high-profile TV productions, including the internationally recognized reality show Expedition Robinson (the U.S. version is known as Survivor), the Dutch adaptation of the BBC hit I Love the 80s, and the historical aviation documentary series Time Flies for National Geographic, among many others. After having my own production company, producing and directed a plethora of productions for television, theater and a wide variety of organizations, my career gradually expanded into marketing & communication and several roles in the corporate world and board roles within cultural and social organizations. What my signature is? I don’t like to be put in a box and want to keep developing myself and discover new things. Here’s what I do know: I specialize in natural light photography, with a strong focus on portrait, editorial/documentary, and some travel photography. I’m also experienced in studio photography, depending on the project. I strive to intuitively capture people and moments in their most authentic form. My approach is simple: I observe quietly, wait patiently, and aim to find and feel the essence of a scene or subject. I believe photography is about connection, subtlety, and storytelling — whether I’m working on an intimate portrait session, a visualizing the story of a company or an editorial series.
