Biking For Children (BFC), gives workshops at schools to the children about Children's rights and show to the outside of schools how the children their rights and daily life see. This organization is a non-profit organization, without discrimination of any political opinion, religion, race, nationality, color or language. Children often have a very different perspective of the world in comparison
to adults. BFC would like to reveal how children view the world, what it is that they find important and how much they know about their rights. Our goal is also to show what the difference between this view is for children from different parts of the world. Our journey will start in the Netherlands and will continue to Israel by bike. Workshops and expositions will be held in every country on this route. By means of workshops, children aged between 6 and 18 years old are taught how a camera works and subsequently assigned to make photos of the most important things in their daily life. In this first meeting children will, in a playful way, get acquainted with some of the most important aspect of international rights for children. These new insights are then integrated in the photo’s they will make. The photos are then exhibited and the children are tasked to explain why they made certain choices in making each photo. These images illustrate the manner of thinking of children, how they have been influenced by culture, their level of education, the differences in social classes and much more.
