Improvising with nightingales.

On the west bank of the Rhône river, the sound of nightingales is breathtaking. I documented David Rothenberg (Nightingales in Berlin) and his group along the ancient riverbed.

Listening, sensing, and playing music together with the birds. A raw, live dialogue between man and nature.

Capturing this moment along the Rhône was a beautiful reminder of how we can truly connect with the world around us. If we just stop to listen.

My last day in Arles led me to painter Tali Farchi during a walk. We shared a beautiful conversation about looking at a landscape with true attention—how to capture its atmosphere and its emotion in a painting or a photograph.

Tali was hosting a workshop, passing on her craft to people from all over the world. To her, sharing this passion and teaching others to slow down and truly see is one of the most beautiful things to do.

Capturing our brief moment together in black and white was a reminder of why we create.

Photographing Alex at the herd today. Midday started with retrieving a few horses that had run off into the fields.

Alex's story is incredible. He went from being a mattress salesman to a full-time shepherd, nature lover, and photographer. At 35 years old, not many people would dare to make a radical shift like this.

But out here, surrounded by nature, his dogs, the herd, and Mathilde, he found his most natural way of living. Free.

Photographing along a small part of the Via Domitia today. Walking from the Saint-Sixtus Chapel in Eygalières back to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Feeling the rich history and meeting people along the way.

This walk was absolutely perfect for me at this moment. Working on my new photography concept and mission, it feels so good to disconnect and reconnect with what is original to us.
