A Honest Question

Nigeria is facing serious insecurity, with citizens living in fear.
Yet our soldiers are deployed abroad instead of protecting lives at home.
This is not an accusation — it is a necessary question.

We Are One… But Are We Acting Like It? 🇳🇬

Sometimes, the problem we are fighting is not even as big as the problem we are creating for ourselves.

On one side of Nigeria today, some people are busy recording skits and carelessly labeling every Hausa speaker as a terrorist — forgetting that crime has no tribe, no language, and no region.
They don’t see the innocent people who suffer insecurity daily… they only see stereotypes.

On the other side, some of our Northern youths are more focused on celebrity drama — arguing about posters, actresses, and movie stars — while the world paints the entire North with one negative brush.
Instead of correcting the wrong impression, we are distracted by things that add nothing to our future.

And in the middle of all this noise…
Nigeria stands wounded, holding the message we keep breaking every day:

“We Are One.”

This is not just a cartoon.
It is a mirror.
A reminder.
A warning.

If we don’t fix the way we treat each other, no election, no politician, no government will magically fix this country for us.

Let’s stop the tribal profiling.

Let’s stop the misplaced priorities.

Let’s start acting like one nation.

Because at the end of the day…
If Nigeria breaks, we all break with it.

It’s time to stop the division. Anyone who dies—no matter their religion, tribe, or geopolitical zone—deserves justice. Speaking the truth without bias is the only solution for Nigeria.

What Muslims Do During Ramadan:

1. Fasting (Sawm):

From dawn (Fajr) until sunset (Maghrib), Muslims abstain from eating, drinking, smoking, and other physical needs, including marital relations.

The fast is broken at sunset with a meal called Iftar, often beginning with dates and water, following the practice of Prophet Muhammad.

The pre-dawn meal before fasting begins is called Suhoor.

2. Increased Worship and Prayer:

Muslims engage in additional prayers, including Taraweeh, special nightly prayers performed in congregation at mosques.

Reading and reflecting on the Quran is highly encouraged, with many attempting to complete its recitation during the month.

3. Charity (Zakat and Sadaqah):

Generosity is emphasized. Muslims give Zakat al-Fitr, a special charity given before the Eid prayer, and other forms of voluntary charity (Sadaqah).

4. Self-Discipline and Reflection:

Ramadan is a time for self-restraint, patience, and reflection. It is seen as an opportunity to purify the soul and focus on spiritual growth.

5. Community and Family:

Iftar meals often bring families and communities together.

Mosques and Islamic centers host communal prayers and meals.
