The delegation was warmly received by the King-Elect, Alabo Charles Douglas MacPepple Jaja), alongside the respected Council of Alapus of Opobo Kingdom.

This visit underscores the deep bond of unity, respect, and solidarity among traditional rulers across Southern Nigeria, as they mourn a distinguished leader who contributed immensely to cultural preservation, peace, and regional development.

Opobo Kingdom is ushering in a new era with the selection of a successor following the recent passing of its esteemed former ruler.

Adhering to longstanding customs and traditions, Alabo Charles Douglas Mac-Pepple Jaja has been selected as the new Amayanabo of Opobo Kingdom.

As the younger brother of the late king and the respected Alabo of the Mac-Pepple Jaja War Canoe House, he brings continuity and deep-rooted ties to the throne.
