A man said, “God, why is my life so hard?”

God said nothing.
Instead, He showed him a room filled with crosses.

Some were big.
Some were small.
Some were heavy.
Some looked light.

God said, “Choose one.”

The man quickly dropped the heavy ones.
He avoided the rough ones.
He searched until he found the lightest cross in the room.

He smiled and said, “This is the one I want.”

God replied softly,
“My child, that is the same cross you were carrying before you entered this room.”

*The man broke down and cried*.

We complain about our struggles,
not knowing they are perfectly measured for our strength.

We envy other people’s lives,

We pray for easier roads,
