Some images stay with you long after you've put the camera down.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing The Potpourri of Our Society, a fashion showcase by the brilliant young designers organised by Lives of Colour and honestly the talent in that room was something else.

Each piece told a story. African florals woven into something quintessentially British. Identity. Heritage. Belonging. These students didn't just make clothes, they made statements about who they are and where they come from, and I was honoured to be the one to capture it.

Lives of color continue to do extraordinary work nurturing young creative voices in this country and showcases like this are exactly why that work matters.
