Through stories, we discover who we are, and through photographs, those stories find a voice that speaks to the world.

As a documentary photographer, photogroahy has taken me in to classrooms where children dream of learning despite losing their schools to floods, into communities where the weight of child malnutrition is silently carried, and into places where conflict survivors hold on to resilience as their greatest strength. Each stories reminds me that photography is not just about what we see, but about what is felt and remembered.

On this World Photography Day and World Humanitarian Day, I am reminded that the camera is more than a tool, it is a witness, a bridge of empathy, and sometimes, a small light in the face of overwhelming darkness.

To all humanitarian workers, thank you for your selfless dedication, your courage in the toughest conditions, and your steadfast service to communities in need.

Happy World Photography Day.
