📜 Marco Van Basten recently claimed that he was better than Cristiano Ronaldo at 28. Now most of the people will laugh. But the legendary dutch striker isn't someone you can simply ignore. So let's compare this two great's career, but first let's have a look at his exact words ⬇️

🎙️ Van Basten: "I think if you compare my career with Cristiano Ronaldo's career until I had to quit (injury), I get very close to him. And maybe mine was even better. But I was unable to continue my career after that (injury)"

Okay, now anyone can compare between this two greats. Van Basten wasn't that wrong, that's pretty close. Career-wise the dutchman was better in my opinion, again 'in my opinion'.

But think again, Marco Van Basten is widely considered as not only one of the greatest striker, but also one of the greatest footballer of all time and Cristiano Ronaldo almost matched his number at 28. The fact here is majority of Cristiano's success came post 28 and this says about his greatness pretty well.

The Cost Of Wedding In The Catholic Church Is Not Up To N15k — Fr. John Oluoma

He explained thus;

“1. MARRIAGE COURSE: it will cost you three months of tutorials by the priests, trained instructors and medical experts . In some parishes the course can last for less than 3 months. Registration ranges between 2k and 5k. I am yet to see where they charge more than 3k.

2. BANNS: Marriage banns is a publication of your intention to marry in your home town, present residence and any other place you may have lived for years. The aim is to make sure you weren't married to someone else or hiding some conditions that disqualify you from wedding in the church, such conditions are called impediments.

No fee is attached to banns, though some regions of the country ask people to pay for what they call clearance. Clearance is a controversial issue that needs separate treatment. Normally, banns have no financial charges attached.

3. Submission of relevant documents such as court registration, evidence of bride price payment/compliance with traditional ceremonies, genotype test result, baptismal cards, sponsor's form.

4. Agree a date and time for your wedding with the priest. There is no law in the church that says wedding must be on a Saturday and by 10am with a crowd of people. In the Catholic church, a quorum for church wedding is formed by the spouses, their sponsors and the priest, any other person is jara.

5. Stole fee is about 2k, depending on diocese and parishes.

Take note that wedding gown, suit, ashoebi, bridal trains, flower girls, little bride and groom, photographers, videographers, renting of halls for reception, hiring DJs, cooking for people, wining them etc are not part of church wedding.

The total amount spent on church wedding is ideally less than 15k. Wedding in the church is the cheapest celebration ever. We don't make money from celebrating marriage for people in the church, it is a sacrament and the sacraments are not for sale.

FG increases petrol price to N185 per litre.
The Federal Government has officially increased the price of petrol by 8.8 per cent to N185 per litre, from N170 per litre. The ex-depot price also shot up from N148 per litre to N167.
In a notice to fuel marketers, yesterday, the government directed that the new price should take immediate effect. It is reported that the recent increase in the price of petrol is to compensate for the current market realities associated with escalating foreign exchange.
Vanguard reports that a few petrol stations belonging to the Major Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, have already adjusted their pumps in line with the new price directive.

Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has revealed why she refused to remarry after the death of her husband years ago.

Usain bolt loses $12 million life savings to fra¥dsters.
Jamaica’s Olympic sprinting icon, Usain Bolt has lost millions of dollars in his account with Stocks and Securities Ltd, an investment company based in Kingston.
The lawyers of the track star said they are prepared to file a lawsuit if that will make it possible to recover the more than $12 million that mysteriously disappeared from Bolt’s account.
According to Linton Gordon, Bolt’s lawyer, the money is missing from his account in the coffers of Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL), a Jamaican investment firm.
The lawyer also provided The Associated Press with a copy of a letter sent to SSL demanding that the money must be returned. Gordon was quoted to have said that Bolt’s account, which earlier had $12.8 million, is now reflecting a balance of $12,000.
Bolt is said to have had investments with SSL for over a decade. It was gathered that the account includes a part of the athlete’s retirement and life savings.

Start rejecting old Naira notes from banks — CBN instructs Nigerians.

The CBN has directed customers to start rejecting old naira notes from banks, insisting that the old notes ceased to be legal tender by the January 31 as earlier stipulated.

The Deputy Director, Currency Operation, Dr Rekiyat Yusuf disclosed this in Lokoja, Kogi State on Thursday, She said that appropriate sanctions would be applied against any erring banks found dispensing old notes to customers.

The CBN therefore directed customers to report any bank still dispensing old notes either over counter or through the ATM to the apex bank. She further urged traders to avail themselves of the window provided by the January 31st deadline by visiting banks to exchange the old notes with the new ones.

“There is no reason for banks to still be stocking their ATM with old notes as the Apex bank has made enough redesigned notes available for dispensing to members of the public. Any bank caught would be made to face appropriate sanction”, she said.
