Yesterday 13th of August 2023, I served as one of the jurors for the Lagos Agrithon 2026 Top 100 virtual pitch screening at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems conference room.

Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on a shopping spree yesterday at the newly commissioned commissioned the Lagos fresh food hub, Pen Cinema Agege, Lagos. Also present is Deputy Governor and Incoming Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government, Lagos State Exco members, Head of Service, Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Directors of the Ministry, Traditional rulers, Farmers and Agripreneurs and other dignitaries.

I served as the auction manager during Governor Sanwo-Olu’s shopping spree.

The Agege Fresh food Hub brings farmers, aggregators, bulk dealers, commissioned agents, retailers, institutional buyers and consumers into a more organised platform of exchange, supported by systems for produce receiving, quality control, storage, inventory management, sanitation and waste reduction.
