Crystal Palace 0-0 Wolves (5 mins)
The Eagles are still searching for some rhythm in the early period, Wolves are very much taking the game to them, but yet to fashion a clear-cut chance. An overhit cross goes out of play with Mateus Mane chasing it from the penalty spot all the way to the sideline.

Premier League pundit Dean Ashton:
"It’s a big opening. Curtis Jones, has he warmed up properly? It’s twice he’s given the ball away. Second part was excellent from Hudson-Odoi but it’s that extra couple of steps from Alisson to narrow the angle. It’s a big chance."

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Liverpool (4 mins)
The first big opening falls to Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi and it's a massive save from Alisson.
A long ball over the top falls to the winger but his stabbed effort is blocked by the Brazilian.

Sunderland 0-0 Fulham (2 mins)
Nordi Mukiele has his first long throw on the afternoon but it is easily dealt with by the lime green kitted Fulham - Harry Wilson with the final hack out the box.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Wolves (2 mins)
A long throw from Yerson Mosquera is assuredly dealt with by Chris Richards, but only leads to another. This time, former Wolves man Jorgen Strand Larsen heads clear.

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Liverpool (2 mins)
The game settles into an early pattern, with Liverpool dominating possession and Nottingham Forest seeking to pounce on any opportunities that come their way.

Will the Premier League have FIVE Champions League spots this season?

Here's what needs to happen for the Premier League to gain an extra place for 2026/27 UEFA competition
The Premier League is on course to gain an extra UEFA Champions League spot for a second consecutive season, with the top FIVE Premier League teams potentially qualifying instead of the traditional top four.
Last season, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United all secured places in the 2025/26 Champions League after getting top-five finishes in the Premier League, while Tottenham Hotspur joined them by winning the UEFA Europa League.
See: How Premier League clubs qualify for Europe
That was the first time ever that five Premier League clubs all qualified via their league position, and a repeat is certainly now possible due to England (the Premier League) having a commanding lead at the top of UEFA's coefficient table, which measures how clubs from each country perform across European competitions this season.
If England stays in the top two, which looks promising, the team who finish fifth in the Premier League would go straight into the Champions League again in 2026/27.

🔥 Could Bottom Beat Top at Molineux for the Third Time?

In Matchweek 26, league leaders Arsenal travel to bottom club Wolves — a fixture that looks one-sided on paper… but history says otherwise.

Out of 13,046 Premier League matches, only 42 have been played between the team starting the day 1st and 20th.

And guess what?

👉 The bottom side has won only FOUR times.
👉 It hasn’t happened in 15 years.
👉 The last 17 top-vs-bottom clashes? The leaders stayed unbeaten.

But here’s where it gets interesting…

Twice before, when a bottom club shocked the league leaders — it was Wolves at Molineux.

Let’s relive the four historic moments when last place stunned first place 👇

Wolves were rock bottom.
Manchester United were league leaders under Sir Alex Ferguson.

🐺 1️⃣ Wolves 1-0 Manchester United (January 2004)

Yet at Molineux, Wolves produced a defensive masterclass and grabbed a famous 1-0 win — one of the biggest shocks of that season.

🐺 2️⃣ Wolves 2-1 Manchester United (February 2011)

Seven years later, history repeated itself.

Again bottom.
Again Manchester United.
Again Sir Alex Ferguson.

Wolves stunned the leaders 2-1 in another unforgettable Molineux night.

⚡ 3️⃣ & 4️⃣ The Other Two Shock Wins

Only two other times in Premier League history has bottom defeated top.

That’s how rare it is.

42 meetings.
4 wins for bottom.
0 in the last 15 years.

👀 Why Wolves Can Believe
• Arsenal are 18 places and 48 points ahead.
• Wolves almost got a point at the Emirates earlier this season.
• It took a last-minute own goal to deny them.

Football loves drama.
And Molineux has delivered it before.

Could lightning strike for a third time?

Golden Boot race: How the contenders compare We look at the current standings of the players battling for the Coca-Cola Golden boot prize.

Football writer Adrian Clarke takes a closer look at the players vying to win the Coca-Cola Golden Boot award, which is given to the Premier League player/s with the most goals.
The Coca-Cola Premier League Golden Boot is awarded to the top goalscorer in a season and, since the start of the competition in 1992/93, it has become a prestigious award.
It has been won by numerous iconic stars, with Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah tied for the most Golden Boot wins with four apiece.
Premier League Hall of Fame members Alan Shearer, Andrew Cole, Sergio Aguero and Didier Drogba, have all won the award at least once.
This season, chasing his third Golden Boot in four seasons, is the irrepressible Erling Haaland, who leads the Premier League’s 2025/26 goalscoring standings with 22 goals.

While it would take an extraordinary run to eclipse his record-breaking 36 goals in 2022/23, the Manchester City striker continues to set the standard, netting once every 97.5 mins.
Interestingly, none of the other contenders are previous Golden Boot winners.
Brentford’s Igor Thiago is Haaland’s closest challenger, enjoying a sensational breakthrough campaign, with 17 goals so far this season. The Brazilian leads the way for penalty goals, with six.
Man City’s Antoine Semenyo is enjoying his most-prolific Premier League season having scored 13 times in total, including 10 for previous club AFC Bournemouth.
The Ghanaian could make a late run to pip team-mate Haaland to the prize after scoring three times in his first five Premier League appearances for his new club.

What we learned from Matchweek 26

Takeaways include Man City finding their spark, Chelsea's familiar flaws and Spurs joining the relegation battle

Football writer Alex Keble highlights the hot topics and tactical lessons from Matchweek 26, including:

- Old feeling of invincibility may return for Man City
- Forest’s attacking issues sum up why Dyche has departed
- Spurs consider the possibility of relegation as Frank departs
- Van Dijk’s winner seals the top six – and sets up a titanic battle for UCL spots
- Bournemouth are now on for a record-high Premier League finish
- Chaotic six minutes reveal Chelsea’s familiar flaws will take a while to fix
- Carrick hits his first hurdle – but West Ham are the ones left feeling low
- Burnley’s incredible comeback is proof they are stronger than the 24/25 intake
- Late own goal is an enormous boost for faltering Villa
- Arsenal must hold their nerve as Man City close in

Old feeling of invincibility may return for Man City

For Manchester City what matters even more than the result is the swaggering ease of the performance; is the way they simply swept Fulham aside in the first half and cantered to victory in the second.

This was Man City the well-oiled machine, the ruthless Pep Guardiola team. As they look to apply pressure to Arsenal, and look to build on the morale-boosting late win at Liverpool, it is precisely what they needed.

A lot has been made of Arsenal’s main obstacle being Arsenal themselves, with pundits suggesting that if the league-leaders can handle the pressure they will lift the title.

But the same can be said for a Man City side that seemed strangely foggy through January, and who – if they can just recapture that old feeling of superiority and invincibility – could accelerate away with one of their classic spring winning streaks.
