Photographing weddings of people who are family to you has a different feel to it, in a great way. 🥲
They’re people you’ve seen grow and have seen you grow.
I almost didn’t wanna photograph Anika’s wedding because of some burnout I was experiencing at the time, but she said, it had to be me.
I was like Ughhhh!!!😩🫤😏
So I had to wear my big boy pants and grab the camera. 😁🤌🏾😮‍💨
I’m glad I did🙂

Anika you have a wonderful heart, and it gives me comfort to know you’ve found someone who sees that.

There’s a place I’ve been lately…
Not sure what to call it.

Not confusion.
Not clarity either,
Just this quiet weight of becoming.

You’re tired, but you’re still moving.
You’re building something bigger than you,
But some parts of it… you have to carry alone.

You know what to do, but sometimes you don’t do it.
Sometimes you want to do everything.
Sometimes… nothing at all.

And in between all that, life keeps happening.
So you pause.
You breathe.
You gather yourself… and go again.

I guess this is what growth feels like.
Heavy. Necessary. Uncertain.

But still… FORWARD. ✊🏾😮‍💨
