On New Year’s Day 2012, Jonathan greeted Nigerians with the shock of new oil prices as he attempted to scrap so-called oil subsidies, leading to widespread strikes and protests that almost toppled his government.

The President of Nigeria, Dr. Ebele Jonathan raised the price to 97 Naira a liter, up from 65 Naira.

January is a terrible month out of the remaining 11 months because people have finished their money during Xmas and New year celebration and some that went to their villages to celebrate with their parents had only transport fare back to their station. That was the time Jona felt it was right time to increase the price of fuel.

I cant vote for person like that, that does not feel the pains of the people,
