The virus that causes AIDS, HIV, is the most serious s*xually transmitted infection.

Condoms are quite efficient against it. They are also efficient against trichomoniasis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and unplanned pregnancy.

Did you know that using condoms and taking pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, helps prevent HIV?

If PrEP is not taken as directed, its effectiveness is reduced. Condom use is crucial for protecting against other STDs even though PrEP solely offers HIV protection.

Fatty liver disease is a build-up of fats in the liver that can damage the organ and lead to serious complications.

Eating excess calories causes fat to build up in the liver. When the liver does not process and break down fats as it normally should, too much fat will accumulate.

People with fatty liver disease are encouraged to modify their diets, take regular exercise and lose weight.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) Vaccine hesitancy has been listed as one of the biggest threat to global health.

Did you know ❓

Vaccines reduce risks of getting a disease by working with your body's natural defenses to build protection. It uses your body's natural defenses to build resistance to specific infections and makes your immune system stronger.

It's much safer for your immune system to learn this through vaccination than catching the diseases and treating them.

Once your immune system knows how to fight a disease, it can often give you life long protection.

By getting vaccinated, people are protected against serious illness, and sometimes death, from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Every girl deserves access to safe and hygienic menstrual care without any limitations.

We visited Ijokodo high school (school of deaf branch) to sensitize them on menstrual hygiene✅. Studies shows that women and girls globally face stigma, ignorance and exclusion due to experiencing menstruation.
While girls with special needs often experience double discrimination, due to their gender and having a disability.

The additional stigma of menstruation makes people living with disabilities far less likely to receive the information, supplies and support they need for Menstrual health and hygiene. Stigma, misunderstandings and exclusion can lead to harmful practices.

Education and awareness are key. It's vital to provide girls with special needs the knowledge and understanding about menstruation.

International Women’s Day

The world celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women on March 8th, which is known as International Women's Day. The day also serves as a catalyst for speeding progress toward gender equality. The organization is encouraging individuals to confront gender stereotypes, denounce prejudice, call out discrimination, and work for inclusivity. Gender equality is both a fundamental human right and a solution to some of the world's most pressing problems. We are also using this chance to recognize the achievements of the women in our organization and motivate them to do more. You are essential to the existence of Blue Gate. We celebrate you. Thank you
