TEXT: *_Mark 11:23 – "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what will happen, it will be done for him; therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, BELIEVE that you have RECEIVED it, and it shall be yours."*
The key to effective prayer is to believe without doubting that you already have the desired outcome. We don’t speak to our mountain in order to build our faith. We speak to our mountain because we know that they must submit to us.
Beloved be convinced of the outcome of your prayer even before you pray.. We must be very persuaded of the will of God to answer every of our prayer. Such persuasion is the motion by which prayers are answered.
Until our Spirit bears witness with our spirit then we know that our words will effect change in the invisible and visible world. Therefore we must spend time with the word and pray until the assurance is manifested in our heart. It is the fruit of a relationship with God through his word that brings us to a place of absolute confidence, faith and authority through Jesus. It is like speaking to a disobedient dog. If you as the dog’s owner has authority over the dog, you use that authority without thinking twice. The dog knows your voice and the dog knows your authority. But if we are speaking to a strange dog we can’t really be sure if it is going to listen to our rebuse. There isn’t the same certainty and confidence. We speak to it “hoping” it will respond as we wish but until we “see” the results, we do not believe. However with our own dog we already know the result even before we speak. Our dog is going to obey or suffer the consequences. There is no doubt, the same in prayer. Speaking to our problem before we are convinced will seldom have much effect.
The Bible tells us that we are not just to pray, but rather to pray believing. If we are specifically told to believe when we pray, then it must be possible to pray and not believe. Not all prayers bring result. Only believing prayers moves God and receives from Him.
*Before you pray, believe.*
Meditation:
*If only I can believe, my God will answer. I walk by faith.*
Prayer
1. *_Lord Jesus, I receive my healing for by your stripes, I am healed._*
2. *_Lord Jesus, I reject every spirit of Thomas. I receive the spirit of faith to believe the word of God. Amen._*
