“WE WILL CONSOLIDATE ON TECH-DRIVEN OPERATIONS” – PROF AUDI REELS OUT 5-YEAR ROADMAP, DISTRIBUTES OPERATIONAL EQUIPMENT ACROSS NSCDC

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR has unveiled a decisive five-year roadmap to strengthen the Corps’ professionalism, operational readiness, and technological capacity.

At the start of his second tenure, Prof Audi held a high-level session with senior officers, setting a bold direction for a disciplined, tech-driven, and intelligence-led NSCDC.

He personally oversaw the distribution of operational wears, surveillance equipment, and tech gadgets to Commands across the 36 states and the FCT, ensuring units are fully equipped for rapid, effective operations.

On the Corps’ future, he stated:

“We will consolidate on tech-driven operations. Every action, deployment, and decision will be guided by intelligence and enabled by modern technology to protect personnel and national assets.”

The NSCDC continues to stand as Nigeria’s frontline security agency, safeguarding communities, critical infrastructure, and national assets with professionalism, discipline, and advanced operational capability.

Today, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, delivered a goodwill message at the 2nd Annual Lecture of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Security Studies.

The event, themed “Credible Elections and National Security in Nigeria,” was held at the NAF Conference Centre under the distinguished chairmanship of Professor Joash Amupitan, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC).

The Commandant General reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to professionalism, the rule of law, and effective collaboration with other security agencies to ensure peaceful elections.
He emphasized that citizens’ cooperation is essential for a smooth and transparent process.

The lecture was delivered by Barrister Mike Igini, former Resident Electoral Commissioner, and brought together security personnel, academics, and other stakeholders to discuss ways to strengthen electoral integrity.

The NSCDC is committed to excellently delivering on its mandate without compromise.
