Flying over the Namib near Sesriem as the light turned low, the dunes catching fire while the mountains fade into the dusk. So many years, photographing in the Namib and it still stops me mid-breath.

Some trees don't just grow, they survive inspite of the wind and drought for decades. This lone umbrella thorn has been doing it for longer than any of us have been alive. This one ancient sentinel is holding its ground against all of it. I don't get tired of visiting it. I don't think I ever will.

I love to photograph Zebra, I have a deep rooted love for all things Equine. But there's something almost sculptural about zebra stripes in harsh light, every line sharpens, every curve softens. This pair paused just long enough to let me capture this beautiful moment of tender harmony.
