Kenya is already living up to the legend. On our very first day, we were lucky enough to cross paths with a lioness and her three cubs. To witness a scene like that on day one feels like hitting the jackpot

Testing out the new VIVO X300 FE, and it’s completely changing the mobile photography game. Took it out to capture the raw essence of Batu Caves, and the 200mm telephoto lens extender is an absolute powerhouse. It let me pull in distant details effortlessly, giving me total control over my composition and delivering that beautiful, dramatic background compression you usually only get with a heavy camera rig.

I tried to use it to capture Merdeka 118 and KLCC straight from my condo—the clarity at that distance speaks for itself. 📸✨

📸 Leaving the heavy glass behind. I recently had the chance to test out the new Vivo X300 Ultra to see what its standalone camera capabilities could really do. No external telephoto lens attachments, no rigs—just raw hardware vs. two of KL’s most vibrant, culturally rich environments: Batu Caves and Thean Hou Temple. Navigating these locations without a massive gear bag completely changed the creative rhythm of my day.

The ultimate test was capturing the true essence and color fidelity of these iconic spaces. At Batu Caves, the ZEISS Refined Color profile kept the intense reds, teals, and yellows of the stairs true-to-life under the harsh sun, while the dynamic range easily saved the deep shadow details inside the limestone caverns. Over at Thean Hou Temple, it was all about mastering the rich Chinese architectural palette—beautifully preserving the deep structural reds and brilliant golds without turning them into an oversaturated digital mess.

✨ 200MP ZEISS Main Camera: Massive resolution that let me tightly crop and reframe intricate details later without sacrificing cinematic quality.

✨ 35mm Street Photography Mode: The perfect storytelling focal length for grabbing crisp, candid snapshots on the move.

✨ 14mm Ultra-Wide:Swept the immense scale of the cavern interiors and sweeping temple courtyards effortlessly.

They say the best camera is the one you have with you—and when a standalone device packs this much raw imaging power, leaving the heavy gear at home finally feels like freedom rather than a compromise.

They call it the “Celestial Mountains,” but it feels more like stepping into another world. 🇰🇬✨

From the wind-sculpted silence of Ak-Sai Canyon to the rhythmic beat of nomadic life in the high-altitude jailoos, Kyrgyzstan is a masterclass in raw, untouched beauty. There are no guardrails here—just endless horizons, the smell of woodsmoke in a yurt, and the kind of light that every photographer dreams of.

This isn’t just a destination; it’s a feeling. A reminder of what the earth looked like before we paved over it. 🏔️🐎

My top 2025 photos

To be honest, 2025 was a massive reality check. It was my first full year of being self-employed, and I quickly realized that “freedom and flexibility” come with a much higher price tag than I ever expected. With everything falling squarely on my shoulders, I definitely fell behind on my goals for YouTube and keeping up with my content. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but when you’re the boss, there’s no one else to point at when things don’t go to plan—I only have myself to blame for not rising to the occasion.

But looking back, it wasn’t all bad. The biggest win was spending our first full year as a married couple with my beautiful and cute wife. Plus, we finally got the house completely finished, and we managed to unlock some incredible new countries and memories along the way. Those are the moments that made the grind worth it.

For 2026, I’m making a serious promise to myself. It’s time to show up, post more regularly, and really push to be a better photographer and creator. I know there are people out there who think me working alone just won’t work, but I’m going to prove them wrong. Some might think that without the company I had nowhere to shine, but the truth is I’m already shining brighter with every day that passes. When you look at me now, I’m already far brighter than I ever was with them. Everything lies on me now, and I’m ready to chase more trips and better shots.

PS: scroll to last shot on how i feel about work.
