Studio & On-Location My name is Courtney. I am the sole business owner and photographer for Courtraits Photography. The name Courtraits is a play on my name Courtney and the word portraits. I specialise in forest pet portraits. I feel at home in the forest, surrounded by stillness, tall trees and lush greens. I utilise this atmosphere to bring out your pets unique personality.

Two handsome boys amoungst the flowers! Heading back to Toowoomba tomorrow to do a few more flower photos before the season is over! We have a Monday morning spot available if anyone wants it!

It’s been forever since I last photographed a dog at this location! Ginger’s coat matches the sandstone of this location so perfectly

It’s also a very pretty location for the upcoming Jacaranda season this October! The city has already started to turn purple

We have two spaces that we can fit in for jacaranda season this year! If you are interested, send us a message

My Wolf 💚

Oh Willow, you are a beautiful artwork! Truly my favourite subject to photograph!

Swipe to see the before and after! We had a lack of ferns this day but I knew I was going to edit some more in anyway.

People are always telling me they hate editing greens - green is my favourite colour and one of my favourite colours to edit!

Thank you Adelaide for another amazing trip!

It was so lovely to see some of our regulars faces but also meet some new ones! We went to all new locations this trip and it just made me fall more in love with Adelaide

I truly think it’s my favourite city in Australia! Will definitely have to road trip willow down one day so she can explore it, or maybe move there 🙊

Until next time Adelaide,
Courtney

Happy October 🎃 and happy 6 years to Courtney - Sunshine Coast Pet Photographer

6 years ago on October 26th I sat in a hotel room in Brisbane, I had just gone for a job interview for the airforce, the interview process and the testing was 2 days long and hours and hours of tests. And I failed.

I sat in my hotel room, my mum by my side and I said “maybe this was meant to happen, maybe I need to try the photography thing seriously”

At that point I had dabbled in pet photography slightly, I had years of experience as a landscape photographer, I knew I didn’t want to go to vet school anymore, I wasn’t sure about the airforce - so I jumped online, registered my business name, changed my instagram account to this one and as they say - the rest is history

A decision 6 years ago at one of my lowest points in my life in a hotel room in Brisbane has transformed my life.

I’m forever grateful to past Courtney for the courage back then, but also grateful for my mum not thinking I was totally losing the plot and supporting me 😅

Anyway, here’s 6 of many lessons I’ve learned along the way!

Can’t go wrong with a cute puppy in a forest on a tree stump! My favourite pose and location! 😍
