[Leather Bag Workshop, 30 Nov] Our last workshop of November is this Leather Bag workshop this Saturday at our new workshop space in .kl! It’s literally our go-to bag to use whenever we head out. So much love for it 🥰
We’ve had two great runs of this workshop so don’t miss out on making this functional bag, before we move on to newer leathercraft workshops in the coming year 2020! This leathercraft workshop is open to everyone including beginners and no sewing experience is needed! All leather & hardware materials are included, with leather tools provided. You can customise colours, design & personalise your name (in Gold, Rose Gold or Silver) using our machine! (Swipe to see other participants’ designs!). Our watercolour workshop last Saturday was perfect on a rainy day! Everyone learned the basics of colour mixing, floral study and painting techniques! They also brought home a full set of Pentel Malaysia watercolours, a mixing palette, a set of brushes and a set of watercolour paper!

Exciting news! We’re launching our NEW workshop space TOMORROW! We are taking residency in the Artisan Marketplace .kl, and our future events will be held here. What a fun Leather Wallet leathercraft workshop that we taught at .kl, with everyone learning the basics of leathercrafting, edge finishing & handstitching their leather wallet from scratch! With no prior experience, yet these crafters completed their project 2 hours ahead of schedule! 😲 So amazing! They all then personalised their wallets with our hot foil stamping stamping machine, to add their final touch. Thank you for spending your Saturday with us and we hope you feel accomplished learning a new skill. You can now tell your friends, “Yes, I made this!”🥳 @ GMBB

We had a fantastic time at WeWork's launch at WeWork Equatorial Plaza on 29 June 2019! We taught 2 full workshops: Leathercraft and Brush Calligraphy! To the participants who joined our workshops, thank you for coming and you did amazingly well learning a new skill! Thank you again WeWork for having DIYKL! What an amazing co-working space and community ☺️

This time next week we’ll be making Leather Wallets from scratch, no machines used! Learn the basics of leathercrafting including the joy of making a piece of leathergood with your own hands in under a few hours! For the wallet, there is 1 main pocket (for plenty of that kaching! 💵) and 2 card pockets. Each card pocket can fit up to 5 cards each. In this leathercraft workshop, you will learn how to cut leather, leather edging and saddle-stitching, a traditional leather hand-stitching method which produces a stronger, more durable and beautiful stitch. No sewing or leather craft experience is needed to learn how to saddle-stitch! Just bring yourself and plenty of enthusiasm! All materials will be provided in this workshop. Workshop is RM180 in .kl.
