I’m thinking a lot about women today. It would have been easier for me to share photos of instantly recognizable women I’ve had the privilege of photographing, but my heart was drawn to this frame of a traditional silkweaver in Darasuram, India. It’s women like her who work tirelessly behind the scenes, unseen, keeping an ancient craft alive, that form the bedrock of culture.

She deserves to be seen.

Wrapping up this series with this frame here. I get many clients who think that photos must have everyone looking straight at the camera, but it really doesn’t. This photo will print just as beautifully as any other perfectly-posed image. What matters is how you feel when you see them - at the end of the day, these are your memories to love on and cherish, for this generation and generations to come. For posterity.

This is possibly one of my favorite photos of all time. It’s not ‘perfect’, not in the way we’re used to: sunny smiles and ideal angles, but it holds such a special, honest moment of mum & son. This is the type of photo that is cherished for life, and I’m so privileged to be able to peek into these moments.

One of the things i adore photographing the most is the relationship between grandparent and grandchild. It's heartwarming and amusing to observe how utterly besotted grandparents are with their grandchildren, how 'rules' suddenly fly out of the window 😂 Can any parent here relate?

This is a frame one of my first shoots since MCO quarantine, back in June. Is there anything quite like the delighted gaze of parents looking at their child? It gives me chills to see love in such a visible manner.

Hey :) I've been a little quiet on this space, working through some stuff both personally and professionally. But I'm generally grateful for the work and life opportunities that have come up. There's still a long road ahead, but thank you for still being here.
