La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa

In 2022 I was invited to photographed La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa for their Suite Wing and other newly renovated corners. Compared with the shooting experience in 2016 and 2017, the current La Siesta Hoi An is more luxury, more charmingly, undoubtedly more exquisite than ever.

The well kept garden landscape around the hotel offer the hotel guest a fresh connection to the nature. I remember at the time of 2017, the plants in the garden had not yet grown tall.

For a hotel that ranks first on TripAdvisor all year round, La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa continues to improve the quality of its products and services, creating unique and memorable experiences to the guest, which is La Siesta’s only constant principle.

The Return of Hospitality

The hospitality industry experienced the most devastating record since 2020 pandemic, almost all the hotels and cruises that I have served have stopped operating, although some new client have invited me for their new projects, but the border is closed, and it wasn’t safe and practical to travel abroad for any kind of shooting.

Just two months ago, I received project orders from 2 of my main clients in Vietnam. I need to travel across Hoi An, Ha Long, and Hanoi to cover 4 hospitality products. Being able to visit Vietnam again and meet up with some of my old colleagues, I was very excited indeed.

2 weeks of shooting across 3 cities, up to 2TB of photo archives, over 6 weeks of post-production…
It felt like a perfect warmup for me returning to hospitality photography 😇

Quý độc giả thân mến,
Trong đời người, ai cũng sẽ trải qua một hành trình vĩ đại. Thậm chí, có người còn gọi đó là “giấc mộng hoang đường”, như cách nói về hành trình chinh phục sa mạc Gobi ở Mông Cổ trong số báo kỳ này.
Trên sa mạc lớn nhất châu Á và lớn thứ 4 trên thế giới này, mỗi ngày Gobi lại mở ra trước mắt lữ khách một khung cảnh rất khác, với những thảo nguyên mênh mông, những núi đá vĩnh cửu, những thung lũng đẹp như tranh vẽ với mảng màu sọc cam, vàng, đỏ kỳ lạ như những Cappadocia ở Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ. Đó còn là những trải nghiệm khó quên giữa sa mạc cát mênh mông: ngủ trong những túp lều ger tròn, cưỡi lạc đà hai bướu
Bactria, loại lạc đà chỉ có ở đây. Thảo nguyên bao la vắng lặng và vô cùng lạnh giá khi màn đêm buông xuống nhưng lại vô cùng ấm nồng bởi tình cảm hiếu khách kỳ lạ của những người dân du mục. Chủ nhân của sa mạc Gobi vẫn giữ lối sống xưa cũ, tách biệt với thế giới hiện đại.
Tháng 8 chớm thu. Hãy chiêm ngưỡng bức tranh những thửa ruộng bậc thang kỳ vĩ ở Tây Bắc vào mùa lúa chín nương sắp sửa. Đó còn là nét dịu dàng của mùa thu Lisboa hay sự quyến rũ đến mê hoặc của 5 địa điểm ngắm lá mùa thu đẹp như mơ tại Châu Á - Úc. Những người yêu âm nhạc nên lập kế hoạch dự những lễ hội âm nhạc sôi động và đầy màu sắc ở các quốc gia châu Âu.

Dear Travellive readers,
Everyone has a special trip in their lifetime. Some of them even call that a fabulous dream as the one to Gobi desert in Mongo published in this issue.

Regarded as the largest desert of Asia and the fourth largest one of the world, each day, Gobi offers visitors a different view with immense grasslands, permanent rocky mountains and picturesque valleys filled with orange, yellow and red colors as
Cappadocias in Turkey. It’s also unforgettable experiences on the spacious sandy desert: sleeping in round gers or riding a bactria camel. The grassland is very cold in the evening but also warm thanks to the hospitality of local nomads, who also keep the old way of living that is separated from the modern world.

It is early summer in August. Contemplate magnificent terraced fields during their harvest in the Northwestern of Vietnam. In addition, readers can also see the serene autumn of Lisboa or the fascination of 5 autumn destinations in Asia - Australian.
